October 16, 2020 came with mixed feelings. Thousands of young Nigerians held a candlelight vigil in solidarity with and commemoration of the lives lost to the hands of rogue members of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).
There was an air of grief and bemoaning alongside seething outrage as accounts of the dastardly acts that claimed so many lives were recounted. But most of all, behind every tear and behind every set jaw lurked the kindling embers of a long-lost hope reawakened. Young people had come together across ethno-religious divides and ideological disparities to, with one voice, demand a change in the structure of policing in the nation and it appeared the government was listening. Nigeria wasn’t a lost cause after all. Alas, it was the calm before the storm.

Four days later, on October 20, 2020, tragedy struck. In what has come to be known as the Lekki Massacre, men donning the uniforms of the Nigerian Army opened fire on peaceful, unarmed protesters, killing some, maiming many others. There had been previous instances of paid thugs attacking protesters but the brazenness of men who, from all indications were members of the Nigerian Army responsible for the preservation of Nigeria’s territorial integrity and the protection of the nation from external and internal threats to turn their government-issued, public-tax-funded weapons on law-abiding citizens and let loose a barrage of lethal lead into their midst while exercising their democratic and constitutional right to peaceful protest came as a unique slap on the face, dousing the embers of hope under a deluge of despair.

Omo Yoruba ni mi... to start with. Yorubas way get problem with my brothers from the East are mostly illiterates that don't know how to compete fairly.

The real snitch are within us, we just fail to recognize it. Akintola snitched on Awolowo, sold him to Tafa. Tinubu snitched on MKO, sold him to IBB. Same Tinubu snitched on Lagosians, ordered the shooting at the toll gate when He got the report from the shooting. He ran to France, a country under strict lockdown. Tell me, what business transaction does He has at the moment.

Even most of you Yorubas, the witches in your family (Your Aunties, Uncles, Stepmother, etc), them no pray make una get sense because them want make their pikin better pass you.
