The homes of various government officials have been looted in the last 48 hours.

A mob have invaded the residence of Teslim Folarin, the senator representing Oyo Central Senatorial district.

The mostly angry youth looted several new motorcycles at the Oluyole home of the lawmaker. Other materials carted away are freezers, grinding machines and other valuables.

PREMIUM TIMES reported how the homes of various government officials have been looted in the last 48 hours.

Earlier today, some hoodlums looted materials at the home of a former deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, Lasun Yusuff, in Osun State.

The Iwo Local Government Secretariat was also set ablaze.

PREMIUM TIMES efforts to reach Mr Folarin proved abortive as close associate who confirmed the incident to our correspondent said the senator is out of the country.

Angry residents invade Senator Folarin’s house, cart away property

Some angry Nigerians, on Saturday invaded the residence of Senator Teslim Folarin and carted away some valuables.

Folarin, DAILY POST reports is representing Oyo Central district in the National Assembly.

His house located at Oluyole area of Ibadan was burgled on Saturday.

A source said the residents carted away motorcycles, fridges and television sets.

Some pictures obtained by DAILY POST showed how the angry Nigerians were moving some property from the Senator’s house.


However, all efforts made by DAILY POST to get Folarin proved abortive

When these thieves are done with politicians and government officials, they will now turn to people's private businesses and homes. This has to stop.

I swear we should not encourage this. This is still burglary. There's more suitable ways to bring these guys to justice. We're promoting this dangerous culture by celebrating it. How long before they start breaking into peoples home looking for wetin no loss? This 1 carton of indomie is not sustainable in the long run.
