Correctional centres do not correct the inmates. Rather they make them worse criminals. To reduce crimes, why people commit crimes must be understood. We need more of sociologists, psychologists, psychiatrists, criminologists, skilled workers as staff in correctional centres if we actually want to correct inmates .

Have you visited any of the Nigerian prisons before? They actually engage them in Vocational trainings. Blame their acts on something else, maybe instruments to start.

If you were a prison warder and your facility is overrun by a multitude of touts and at the same time you have a mutiny of prisoners would you stand and try to quell the uprising while risking your own life.
