Lawyers Protest Against Sanwo-Olu Presiding Over Judicial Panel Of Enquiry by Cutezt(m): 2:49pm On Oct 31, 2020
A coalition of human rights activists under the aegis of New Nigeria Network (NNN) comprising of Radical Agenda Movement in the Nigeria Bar Association (RAMINBA), Federation of Informal Workers’ Organization of Nigeria, Coalition for Revolution (CORE), Take it Back Movement, Movement for A Socialist Alternative (MSA) and Socialist Workers and Youth League (SWL) among others in Ikeja, Lagos State Nigeria has come out to protest against the Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo Olu, from presiding over the Panel of inquiry setup.

According to the Chairman, Barrister Adesina Ogunlana, it is illegal for the governor to preside over the Panel as he is an involved party, and an involved party can not be an investigator in a case he is indicted for.

The lawyers said that it would have been a different case if the Governor had initially accepted that he invited the military as the Chief Security Officer of the State, but he made the disclosure after the army's revelation.

The Lawyers said it is not possible to be the Accuser, Investigator, and Judge in a case and so the government's involvement has affected the credibility of the panel.

The New Nigeria Network is an amalgamation of progressive forces that actively participated in the #EndSARS movement. The activists said the EndSARS Protest is an unfinished task that cannot be abandoned.

Nigeria and absurdity are cordial friends.
I have known from outset that the Judicial panel of enquiry is charade and nothing good will come out of it. The only objective of the panel is to appease the angry youths and to open another avenue to embezzle public fund.

Anyway, I come in peace

This is very good. We must be firing this bunch of insensitive politicians from all cylinders. This is the time to change Nigeria for good, and we mustn't miss this opportunity.

To be honest, the lawyers are right!

He will be biased

But the Federal government can also not preside over the panel too

So who will

If I may suggest, the youths should take over

Re: Lawyers Protest Against Sanwo-Olu Presiding Over Judicial Panel Of Enquiry by RedPhoenix: 3:25pm On Oct 31, 2020
Why is everyone not seeing the same set of fingerprints everywhere:

1. Army says Sanwo Olu called them

2. Army says Sanwo ordered the shot

3. Sanwo asked camera switched off

4. Sanwo hastily declares curfew without exhausting all measures too hurriedly

5. Sanwo first said there was no blood shed

6. Sanwo moves on to say 2 people died

7. Sanwo accuses the army

8. Sanwo rushes to the hospital first to check on the evil ( they had done )

9. Sanwo offers people 500k as acclaimed by some sources

10. Sanwo inaugurates panel and they are forced to take oaths

11. Sanwo then moves to want to chair the panel

12. The management company says Sanwo says they should switch off the lights

13. Sanwo rushes to the police to make donations. For what... grin grin grin

14. Members of the panel are hastily put together without anyone knowing the criterion and there are videos of them taking dodgy oaths under a fearful and intense situationship grin

Can't people sense desperation here grin grin grin

The guilty are never at peace grin

It's unlawful for sanwo-olu to preside over the judicial panel and he should excuse himself for peace to rein.

So the Gov is the head of the kangaroo panel?

No wonder army mortuary was relocated and we were sold the impromptu visit story.

The youths on the panel should exit it immediately to not give credence to this sham of panel

You can't be a member of a panel investigating your involvement as well as your godfather Tinubu. So you wanna get info to be ahead of the investigation? Seems Sanwo-Olu has something to hide!

..only in Lagos. party faithful, traditional ruler, house of representative members, Government officials and Godfathers shared palliative to themselves, something that is met for the poor among the poor.

State House Representatives members even using the palliative to celebrate birthdays and advance their political influence.

if all of this can be done to private sector donation. just imagine what would become of IGR and other government resources.
