The Obong of Calabar HRH Edidem Ekpo Okon Abasi Otu V has blamed the state Governor Sen. Prof Ben Ayade for the massive looting and vandalism in calabar.

He accused the governor of not having regular meetings with security agencies and not making himself accessible to people who can offer useful advice to him on how to govern the state.

He also advised Ayade to step aside for sometime so as to understudy others on the art of governance.

The Obong stated this while playing host to the immediate past governor of the state Sen. Liyel Imoke who was in the palace to consult with the monarch on the best solution to the problem.

I think Ayade is the most useless governor in Nigeria. Even more useless than Kogi state governor. I think he should go for IT in neighboring Ebonyi State. I know David Umahi will be willing to tutor him on how to bring purposeful leadership to the people.
Himself, kogi state governor and Desmond Elliot are in the same category.

Even though it's note worthy l admire the past governors of the state of giving a free hand to their successors, Ayade shouldn't act alone. If not, when the people coupled with elite gangs up against you, you will nearly have no chance.
