The All-time highest goal scorer of the Nigerian national teams will be revealed later on in this post. Nigeria’s national team is among the best teams in Africa, they are a three-time AFCON winner. In the history of the national team, different players have been on the scoreboard for them. Over the years some the player who scores for Nigeria has become the team’s all-time highest goal scorers and have been acknowledged for the achievements.

The top ten all-time highest goal scorers in the history of Nigeria national team will be listed below. The subsequent players are the all-time highest goal scorers of the Nigerian national team.

10. Jay-Jay Okocha – 14 goals.

Jay Jay Okocha is a retired Nigerian attacking midfielder. He is among the Legends of Nigeria. Okocha is the tenth all-time highest goal scorer of the Nigerian national team. He earned 73 caps for Nigeria from 1993 – 2006. His goal scoring ratio for the national team is 0.19 which is among the lowest on the list. Despite his playmaking and dribbling abilities, he was only short of scoring goals.

9. Asuquo Ekpe – 14 goals.

Asuquo Ekpe was a Nigerian professional footballer. He was the first Nigeria to score in an African Cup Of Nations, he did so in 1963 against the United Arab Republic now Egypt. Ekpe is Nigeria’s ninth all-time highest goal scorer, he earned just 28 caps for Nigeria from 1956 – 1963. Asuquo Ekpe’s goal scoring ratio is 0.5, the second-best on the list.

8. Julius Aghahowa – 14 goals.

Julius Aghahowa played as a striker during his active footballing career. In 2002, he became Nigeria’s all-time goal scorer but currently, he is the eighth all-time goal scorer of Nigeria. The former Wigan Athletic striker earned 32 caps for Nigeria from 2000 – 2007, his goal-scoring ratio is 0.43.

7. Ahmed Musa – 15 goals.

Ahmed Musa is the only active Nigerian player in the national team that made the list. He plays as a forward and left-winger. Musa is the first Nigerian to score more than once in a FIFA World Cup match which he did in 2014 and also he is also the first Nigerian to score in two FIFA World Cup competitions after scoring against Iceland in the 2018 FIFA World Cup. The former Leicester City forward ha earned 93 caps for Nigeria from 2010 till date, the numbers are still counting. His goal ratio is 0.16 per game, the poorest of all on the list.
