What exactly are you saying, is restructuring into regional resource management not a "proper management of resources"? Why making it look as if it's something else entirely. In a situation where different regions are saying they aren't getting as much attention from the center as they deserve, a new structure needs to be put in place to address that. That process is called restructuring. We can then go ahead to discuss the nitty gritties of the new structure.

You are educated, don't let these politicians play word tricks on you.

You are wasting your time with restructuring you are wasting your time with Nigeria as long as we are really the country the country cannot develop we do not know how to develop a country but will end up this evening and fooling ourselves by the end of the day we are still suffering. Illiteracy has finished the country which Nigerians cannot develop a country you go to UK Today Nigerians and number 12 Africa in employment go to America Nigerians are number 10 African unemployment. Any country you go to nobody wants Nigeria. Because of her behaviour if the Nigerians in developing countries are not going to invest back home

Aren’t the state regions? can they take of themselves? Bureau of statistics has said only 4 States in Nigeria can survive without statutory (free money) allocation, championed by the Federal Government, Which Eastern State In Nigeria can survive without Federal allocation? Lagos State’s alone internal generated revenue in 1 month, surpasses the whole south east combined for 6 months, people from eastern Nigeria will suffer the most.

They have no resources other than small oil in Abia, & imo states, coal as fossil fuel that made the east relevant in the last century is basically worthless today, they can’t even use the large deposit of coal in their region to enhance electricity generation? Lack of innovation.

Forget statistics! Before oil there was Nigeria. Let each region grow their area of comparative advantages. In fact, zero oil money is a good problem so that the people can think outside and beyond free money. We need to get out of this grasshopper mentality that have locked us down for half a century. We need to build and develop competence in what we do best.

Obama was vast in constitution law yet pressed for satanic LGBT laws. If you think certificate equate to wisdom then I pity your life. Restructuring is the way out. Oil prices are low and cannot sustain us. We need to open up doors for more fund and that may not happen if the right incentive isn't there. Restructuring will ensure Zamfara releases her Gold.

Rubbish imagination, for lack of vision my people perish, please tell me what Okowa & pdp did with 218 billion in 2108, & 219 billion Naira in 2019?

Under the present formula, the Federal government gets 52.68% of all statutory revenue, while states and local governments get 26.72% and 20.60% respectively.

Revenues from Value Added tax (VAT) are shared differently, with the Federal Government getting 15%, States 50% and Local Governments 35%.

States with the highest FAAC allocation.
Delta state got the highest cumulative FAAC allocation last year, among the 36 states. The state got a total of N213 billion. Closely following is Akwa Ibom state which received N202.3 billion in 2018. Rivers State takes third place with a total of N172 received as FAAC allocation in 2018.

States with the lowest FAAC allocation
On the flip side, Osun state had the smallest FAAC allocation last year. The state received a total of N22.84 billion. Next was Cross River which received a total of N36.95 billion in 2018. Ekiti State was next with a total of N39.3 billion as cumulative FAAC allocation last year

Many of our fathers and mothers work in offices where they hold files hostage till a bribe is paid.
Our problem is not the constitution.
We need to restructure our minds. We need to collectively decide to always do the right thing thus cease to be the FAILED CITIZEN that many of us currently are.

Very correct, if there is effective management of the available resources, restructuring will be useless, most state don't have much IGR to sustain a state, some will be malnourished and some will be well developed

How will they have that when there is no resource control,.... you canot even touch your mineral resources because it's on Exclusive list.

oil has never been the problem. The problem starts from Independence we got independence too early when most of us were illiterate. Please just look at it which one will Nigeria be more developed on a current part or on the part if we never got independence up to today. If we never got independence up to today Nigeria will be like Canada Australia or New Zealand. Because of our illiteracy mentality agreed we have to vote for ourselves this is why we are in this mess and all of us know in Nigerian can do nothing for us but we still go and vote for him

Mr Osinbajo I disagree, we need restructuring just not land and property but Nigerian brain especially the Youth. Today's youth are the type that can disturb an important ceremony because of one bottle of beer, is that the type you send to Aso Rock? To entertain international dignitaries They can't tackle issues in NL without abusing & causing each other or Their tribe, is that the kind of people you take seriously? Or can unite this Nation if the get a chance? Look at the ENDSARS..... I understand the burning of police station, they were angry. Looting of palliative is OK, it was meant to be shared but looting private citizens like you and Bank? I mean was ENDSARS a pretends.

This country need reorientation and factory reset.

You are the one talking of oil, Oil money is Federal Government investment, what sectors has your state created a comparative advantage for itself? What does your state produce that you have benefited from?, a Failure in Nigeria, will also be a Failure in any restructured state.

A coward is always a coward, so you need restructuring to hold your incompetent leaders accountable, I have also lived in the US, how many states go to Washington DC to ask for hand out every month, have you asked the Governor of your state what he has done with Federal statutory allocation (free money) from the FG every month?

A Governor collects Federal allocation from the Federal Government , then uses the money to pay state workers that add no value to the system? Why will a state pay workers from money they did not contribute, or generate, yet you choose to blame the Federal Government for the incompetence of your state Governors?

.....which can only happen with restructuring.
The United States of Nigeria is how you run something with so many different groups of people.

The reason America works is because the State has independent power, and is not begging the federal bottleneck of a government for everything.
States should be able to create their own power plants for example, without federal wahala.

And they can do it in such a way that it lines up with their own state constituents. E.g, the northern states can sharia up themselves however they want and put an end once and for all to this thing of trying to push it on federal.
