Almost all my jobs have been through LinkedIn. I think if you're truly a professional with verifiable experience/achievements, LinkedIn will be your best bet. However, I don't see it being very effective for freshers. Just an opinion.
any advice for freshers?

I advice young aspiring professionals to spend more time on linkedin than other amebo social media handles, do not just browse through stay active, join professional discussion add contacts within your field of expertise.. with time people will start contacting you. I have gotten several buisness opportunities on linkedin

LinkedIn is sweet when youve got two or three years experience.
i still got a message from an HR yesterday asking me if ill be interested in a role.
same goes to my friends who use it.

Its just my second of such experiences.
my advice is to optimize your linkedin and make it professional

Ofen times I hear people say that LinkedIn is one of the best places to land a job especially for people in the tech industry.

However, I have never heard of Nairalanders landing jobs through LinkedIn. So I will like to ask, has anyone gotten a job through LinkedIn?. Also, share your job hunting experience on the platform

Yeah I got an offer twice.

Haven't gotten one through LinkedIn,hopefully I get one soon. Not easy tho.

However it will be nice if LinkedIn has a spinning feature whereby a job seeker can spin like 25 jobs at a time just like career builder.

no such tin as a Fresher.

all u need is experience in wat u do, open a LinkedIn account, follow reputable personalities n companies dat interest u, get d minimum 30 connections required on ur profile den everything is almost set to start getting u noticed by employers.

D more u build ur connections n profile, d beta ur chances.

Employers have always contacted me, as a Software Developer with not so fantastic resume but good one. They do find me through linkedin search. Since I'm not interested in full time jobs, I don't usually take them seriously. Mostly foreign jobs.

If you have experience and build your profile page with the keywords, some openings are directed to your page automatically. I had opportunity to work offshore through a job directed to my profile page. That job further exposed me to how the oil and gas industry work in Nigeria.

Ordinarily the chances is like 1/10
I advice ppl to have good profile, search for job in ur line of experience.
Most importantly Update to the premium with lik 30k so u can have direct access to the CEOs or HR directly. You can have there personal mails.
