Have you heard of zoom? The villain that pauses time and make other speedsters as slow as a snail? He operates outside time, so no one can catch him. 50*the highest speed of flash cannot even get a good vision of him. But Zoom is not a speedster, but a time manipulator.

Flash is known as the fastest "MAN" alive in DC comics' universe. but other beings are also faster than him eg savitar and superman. superman is faster than flash, but he isn't referred to as the fastest man alive because he ain't a man.

flash's speed usually fluctuates and he is able to time travel because he generates his speed from the "speed force", unlike super man whose speed is natural. that's why flash lost his speed at the end of the recent season.

super man is an alien not a man. he's just known as the man of steel, the same way batman is known as "the dark knight"

But If u want to talk about the DC comics, across all timelines and versions of character ''the flash'' (Barry Allen, Bart Allen, wally west). They are all faster than kal el in the comics. There was a Barry that could think in less than nano seconds, superman could never get access to such level of speeds. In another time, Barry was said to have ran round the earth(from the exact spot he started and back), in 8 seconds.

Then also talking about the man of steel himself. It depends on the version of kal el we are talking about. If its the regular superman we are comparing to barry, then my argument is clear, Barry outruns him in raw speed. But If we are to include other versions of kal el like superman prime, the ''thought robot'' and ''superman prime one million'', then Barry stands no chance in this case.

I Recall that the DC cinematic universe is a total crap comparing Flash with Superman in terms of Speed.
DC comics is Sure hell right that Flash is faster than Superman

I mean when I watched Justice League Return of Superman... Superman seeing Barry in Speed mode... Damn I was Shocked.
Because when Barry wants to Run, He Decides to Run in a way that only a Speedster could see him move.

Well, the problem about comparing different characters in a comic is that sometimes its hard to visualize who comes out on top by comparing their feats. Let it be known that prime one million leaped from earth to the tail end of our galaxy in 8 seconds.
