The Minister of Police Affairs, Muhammad Dingyadi, on Tuesday, said the Federal Government has resolved to ensure that there is no repeat of the violence that was unleashed on parts of the country in the wake of the recent #EndSARS protest.

Dingyadi disclosed this to State House correspondents at the end of a meeting of the National Security Council presided over by the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The minister quoted the President as saying that relevant stakeholders, including the youth, will be carried along to forestall a repeat and build a peace process in the country.

Asked whether it would include a crackdown on potential protesters, the minister replied, “On the issue of #EndSARS that you have raised, what we are saying is that government will continue to dialogue, it will continue to listen and will continue to carry all stakeholders along in ensuring that there is no repeat of what happened that destroyed a lot of properties, public and private, individuals in this country.”

“Those entrusted with power have over time converted it to tyranny.” -Thomas Jefferson.
Yeah! If they cant tolerate BH terrorists by granting them amnesty & protect hoodlums hijacking peaceful protests, then they have no basis to complain.

I think the recent death of JJ Rawlings has fired up the passion of a lot of activists in Nigeria. This is our time; no better time than now.

Is this a threat or what. If there is no Justice for those slain by the government, if there is no good governance, if there is no end to police brutality. then watch how the country will burn. This time nobody will be exempted.

Then attend to the demands of the Nigerian people, suffering is too much in the land any other protest can come but not end Sars from sowore..
Meanwhile, protest with lots of jobless miscreant around will lead to anarchy and it will be worst than the first one...

When a Government is so scared of its own people, then some things should be checked but we are in a country where effects is the only thing they look at and not the causes.

If protest is all this country needs to be liberated, THEN SO BE IT!

Protest is a fundamental human right and always turned violent whenever the government gets involved.
