Of the Greatest Nigerian Student!
Great!

A common slogan chanted in Nigerian schools, albeit untrue.
The Academic Staff Union of Universities(ASUU) has just met with the Federal government to resolve their differences for the umpteenth time. With the lastest strike action that kicked off in March, all hope seemed lost following the recent tweet by the union that its members should search for legitimate businesses as a form of solace.

The Nigerian youths are undoubtedly the leaders of today, yet the system keeps trampling on their self-acclaimed ‘greatness’. An average Nigerian student gains admission age 18 but, the constant strike actions keep him in school till age 25, completes the national youth service by age 26. Yet, recruiters indicate that applicants above age 24 are ineligible to apply for most lucrative jobs. Sadly, the same system that successfully wasted one’s years in school will also discredit the same person in the long-run.
