You think say you get SENSE?

John 20:17 & Rev3:12, from the mouth of Jesus, who is the God of Jesus Christ the High Priest?

The message of the pagan Cross excites those who do not know the God and Father of Jesus Christ.
Neither do they know Jesus. cheesy grin
For the same reason, the Bros is blissful ignorant that John 1:1c Greek Theos is a god.

So I was in a tete a tete with this Jehovah witness guy.

Let me state that , JWs teach that Our Lord Jesus Christ is an angel. They claim Jesus is angel Michael. To them, Jesus is not God as the Bible teaches (John 1:1) but rather a god.

So in the course of our interactions, he stated:

Jesus Christ is Now a High Priest in Heaven, just like in the past, Humans (Priests) mediated between man and God so is Jesus doing now in heaven. I loved his explanation because what he stated was very much correct.

Then I asked him: " You say Jesus is a high priest, just like the priests of old, but I know that , the priests of old offered animal sacrifices to God; so in Jesus' case, which animal is He offering to God in Heaven?"

(He couldnt discern where I was leading him to grin)

Then he quickly replied: "the animal sacrifice Jesus offers in heaven to God now is He Jesus Himself."

Then I burst out laughing grin

I laughed because he was right yet again.

Then I asked him: "So Jesus is both the High Priest and the Lamb (sacrifice) as well ?"

Then he replied: "Yes!"

Then I told him: "You are so right. This same Jesus is the High Priest, and the lamb and that same God who received the sacrifice."

He took offence.

According to him, that would not make sense. So I asked him if a high priest doubling as the sacrifice made sense to him

That ended out chat grin

Jesus Christ is the High Priest, the Lamb and God.

The message of the cross is foolishness onto those who are perishing, but onto us who are being saved it is the power of God

Glory

That was a good one. cheesy

God's will is spoken of throughout the Bible. Jesus Christ came as a man with a will of His own which He instead chose to submit to His Father. According to Jesus Christ, the Spirit of God has a Will of His own but will instead take from the Things of Jesus Christ to give those who believe and accept to be Lead by the Spirit of God in Jesus Christ.

Re: How I Made A Jehovah Witness Sweat Till He Fled by DappaD: 11:47pm On Nov 20
Wow. So you had a conversation with one of Jehovah's Witnesses and he was able to explain from the Bible how Jesus is both High Priest and the Lamb? (John 1:29, Hebrews 6:20)
How then, did you come about Jesus being God again? Were you able to explain from the Scriptures as he did? Or you expected him to agree with whatever you said even if it's not inline with the Bible?

I know the path you're towing now.
As High Priest, Jesus offered up himself as that perfect Lamb sacrifice to God!
As in just as Aaron appeared before Jehovah's presence in the Most Holy compartment on the Day of Atonement(Leviticus 16:1-34) is the same way Jesus, as High Priest, appeared before Jehovah's presence in the literal heavens, this time not with the blood of bulls and goats which can never make us perfect, but with his own blood to make once and for all atonement(covering) for our sins.[Hebrews 9:11-14, 26]
So Jesus didn't appear before himself if that's what you're insinuating.
Hebrews 9:24 makes it clear that Jesus appeared before another Entity altogether, Jehovah God himself.

It may also shock you that Jesus[the Son of God] also serves in other greater capacities as King[Luke 1:31-33, Revelation 11:15], Mediator of the new covenant[Hebrews 9:15], Judge[John 5:22, Acts 17:31], Head of the Christian congregation[Ephesians 1:22, Colossians 1:18], God's Chief Executioner[Revelation 19:11-15] etc

Jesus Christ and Paul made it clear that all of these authorities were given to Jesus by God AFTER he completed his earthly conquest[Matthew 28:18, John 16:33, Philippians 2:9-11]

Nevertheless even after all these authorities and kingly rule has been handed over to him, he remains ever humble and never tries to assume equality with his God and Father, Jehovah[Matthew 11:29, Philippians 2:6]

So that means he knows that he can never be at the same level with Jehovah who is the King of Eternity[Psalm 93:2, Jeremiah 10:10, Revelation 15:3] which he expressed clearly at John 14:28:
“My Father[Jehovah] is GREATER than I am”.

This alone cancels out all trinitarian views that try to make Jesus equal to God.
When in fact his loyal apostles knew that Jesus couldn't be God and addressed him properly as “the Son of the living God[Jehovah]” and “God's Servant”! [Matthew 16:16, John 20:31, Acts 3:13 compare with Isaiah 42:1]

It's a baby idea to turn yourself into a Trinity as if a part of you can exist alone.
All the above does not concern me [there are some things I would have pointed out, but let me overlook sha].

Shadeyinka, define WIll please.
LOL!
Guilty conscience...Did I mention the word Trinity?

Definition Will:
Expression of my Desire
Assertion of my Way
Expression of my Persistence
Expression of my Determination
Expression of my Insistence
Expression of my Deliberateness
Expression of my Intention

The Will is just one of the attributes of the Soul (Will, Emotion and Intellect). A Will cannot exist without a conscious being effecting it.

1. My Physical Body is ME:
That is what everyone know as me
2. My Spiritual Body is ME:
That is what God, Angels and Demons see as me
3. My Soul is ME:
That is the person I refer to as Me, Myself and I.

Even if you remove all my limbs, I will still be me. Yet I am not just brain, muscle and bones. It is my soul that gives me consciousness. My Soul is the center of my WILL, EMOTION and INTELLECT.

When you are sad, is it your body that is sad or the you who lives inside you body?

Mr MuttleyLaff make no mistake—you and I aren't having a debate. All I'm saying is that your God which you profess is totally different from the God JWs worship.(Micah 4:5)
So we're not on the same page here—if that's what you thought initially.

MuttleyLaff:
it doesnt matter to me if you're one of Jehovah's Witnesses or as Image123 would put it, one of Jehovah Wickednes
I havent solicited that you agree anything with me. I shed light into a darkened room, the will is yours to decide and choose if or not you want to enter the room and see what the illuminated up room reveals and/or displays
The LORD (i.e. Yahweh) is our God, the LORD (i.e. Yahweh) is one!
Also, the Second commandment explicitly states, not to create God, in the image of any human imagination whatsoever, nor to according to an atypical of God, even not to be based on any formulation, theory, perverted idea or classic misrepresentation of God whatsoever. This means that with "fellow brethren in Christ" they have nothing to do with gods
OP, (i.e. bingbagbo) didnt even in the original post, mention trinity, which incidentally is your pet obsession, so what exactly is the interest you have in OP

That's a nice conversation.

I have a question for you. Is Jesus God?

Preciousgirl:
Jesus is God Himself

Any biblical evidence?
"But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said,
“Why do you think evil in your hearts?
"
- Matthew 9:4

"24But Jesus did not trust himself to them, because He knew them all.
25There was no need for anyone to tell Him about them, because He himself knew what was in their hearts.
"
- John 2:24-25

"And they prayed, "Lord (i.e. Yahweh aka Jehovah), You know everyone's heart.
Show us which of these two You have chosen"

- Acts 1:24

"And God, who knows the heart, showed His approval by giving the Holy Spirit to them, just as He did to us".
- Acts 15:8

By comparing Matthew 9:4 with John 2:24-25 and Acts 1:24 with Acts 15:8, it is apparent that it is only God who knows people's heart
