In a case whereby a candidate lives outside Ghana and wants to obtain his WAEC certificate then he/she has to make an arrangement for someone responsible in the country to pick a form from any council office.

The candidate shall now fill the form and attach photocopies of his/her passport where the following is stated:

a) particulars is stated

b) profession is stated

c) visa for the trip outside the country (Ghana)

d) the signature of the director of passport

e) the signature of the bearer.

The completely filled form and attachments required shall now be submitted to the council by the person the candidate has mandated to stand in for him/her.

The person standing in for the candidate must provide an authority note by the candidate, mandating the person to collect the certificate on his/her behalf. The person shall also present a valid means of identification.

The person standing in for the candidate may also endorse the form and picture of the candidate If he/she is competent by the rules and regulations to do so.

If for any reason candidates are not able to meet up with the above requirements then he/she cannot have the certificate unless they come in person and get interviewed.
