If I ask you, which is more important for weight loss, burning fat, or burning calories?

What would you say?

A calorie is simply a measure of energy. It is a way of describing how much energy you get from food. Our body stores unused or unwanted calories in fat cells, a gram of fat typically contains 9 calories.

When you exercise, your body gets its energy from recently consumed calories and energy stored in fat cells. If you decrease the number of calories consumed and increase your physical activity, you begin to more energy stored in the fat cells.

So when you consume fewer calories, you essentially force your body to expend the energy stored as fat.
For your body to utilize the energy stored in fat when exercising, you need to reach your target heart rate. This target heart rate is a range that depends on your age and fitness level (beginner, average, or higher than average). It is the heart rate that ensures enough oxygen is available to burn body fat.

In summary, if you eat more calories than you burn, you will not lose weight, no matter the length of time spent in the gym. The only way to burn fat is to be in a caloric deficit

That's the truth
