This is the snake tomato, My my mum used to cook it when we were kids. In short, my dad had it in our small garden. It's a climbing plant,it used to climb our mango tree. It has black seeds inside and red juice flesh on it, which is what u gonna cook after removing the seeds.  cool

I just heard of this report on BBC radio today and I was forced to search for snake tomato only for this thread to come on top of the google search result!
When are we ever going to start appreciating our researchers?

I have been looking for this snake tomato for over thirty years after the last one I planted in my mother's garden before I left the village went extinct.
Any one with the seed should kindly reply and mention me on this post.
