The people who refused to vote for his father despite calling him their hero, will also not likely support him.

He might try but might not win except he has the same ideology as his father

Igbos like selfless people which might be lacking in his kids

It seems they all went in to enjoy the wealth and fame of their father!!!

My thoughts though undecided

We all know how dirty politics is played in this country!!!

It's not that people didn't vote massively for Ojukwu but there was a manipulative influence from the outside

I mean if they can annul an election clearly won by MKO Abiola and killed the man and his wife undecided

what is it they cannot do to soothe their ego that was bruised by Odimegwu Ojukwu

For him to be identified as "Son of" rather than himself means that he doesnt have enough popularity to get what he wants.

Under normal circumstances, if Anambra people really like the man, his son should win elections.

Ojokwu didn't even win a single South East state when he contest.
It's really disheartening by the way.

Modified.
Even Ojokwu wife was sent away self, I think she was denied contesting in Anambra.

The same ideology which didn’t win elections for his father in Alaigbo?

MKO winning election and subsequent annulment and “death” isn’t an analogy syncing with your claim.

Elections were rig, but if truly Ojukwu Odumegwu won the election in Alaigbo and the election was rigged against him, we all know what the reaction of his people should be.

Not even the gubernatorial, senatorial and presidential election he contested for! Haba!

We don't owe him nor his father any debt that demands we must vote anybody that answers Ojukwu! We are not serfs in igboland! We are not a monarchy. There is no Tinubu somewhere dishing out orders on what we must do during elections. Was/is his father a hero? Yes! Does that make it certain that anybody from his family must win elections when ever he or she makes himself available? No! Prove yourself capable! Get a form, announce your intentions, campaign and if the people find you interesting, congratulations! If not? Lick your wounds and try next time! Igbo republicanism at it's finest form! But don't think that because we rejected any of them at the polls, you can go and insult any of them,. You will regret that if you try..

Even if we assume, the election was rigged.

Why was his wife not allowed to contest in Anambra.
His wife even lost senate election in Enugwu.

When Ojokwu died, there was even internal crisis over the assets handed over to his wife.

It's clearly, Ojokwu wasn't loved, maybe because of the Civil War.

Igbos don't do that ...we liked him because his idea of biafra was in line with many of the Igbos idea then so we supported ...and yes in that line we backed him

Outside that biafra struggle he is like every other igbo man and stand same chancs

Nnamdi kanu might be loved by Igbos for his Biafra idea but might fail if he opens a church or join politics

U guys Sha would never understand Igbos , we only follow u if your thinking align with ours we make u leader for that particular goal ...not that we would follow u no matter what u do

If, he would bring the needed changes then he should contest and win. Ikemba Ojukwu was an idealist, I hope his son follows his footsteps.
