Is Religion and Society even fair to women at all?

When it comes to marriage, you hear them say "one man to one woman." Studies have shown that we have around 1 to 5 ratio of men to women in terms of population. Most unions of today are always one to one instead of one to many that I think the nature wants. Here is the question -

1. What happens to the other women?
2. How would they cope?
3. Are there actually more female than male?
4. Why do some men still use money to bribe their way into a woman's heart? Or should we say they are unaware?
