"and you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free." john8:32
The word of God is the truth that we need to know , this truth can liberate you and set you free from every form of entanglement .knowledge is power that can either enslave or liberate a person depending on how you use it.it is good to know the truth about yourself ,your situation about someone or something you 're dealing with .
to know who you 're in Christ ,what you 're suppose to have ,and where you 're suppose to be, is very important to God.the holy spirit of God has a mission to teach us and show us who we re suppose to be as christians.
"but as it is written ,eye hath not seen ,nor ear heard ,neither have entered into the heart of man , the things which God has prepared for them that love God. but God has revealed them to us by his spirit, for the spirit searcheth all things , yea the deep things of God ."
1 corinthians 2:9-10
there 're certain virtues that God has prepared for us as Christians ,these include the blessings that God has for our life.we need to know them and, appropriate them for our life. this means when you know what you are suppose to get even as the blood of Jesus has paid the price for us, you don't settle down for anything lesser .
"now we have received,not the spirit of the world ,but the spirit which is of God,that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God" 1 Corinthians 2:12
the holy spirit is available to reveal the truth of God concerning your life , so that you can be liberated. a christian young lady once fell sick and was invalid for for months , the mother and other family members use to pray for her at the hospital as she continue to take her medication. one day whiles reading the bible she came across 1peter 2:24 "who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we , being dead to sins , should live unto righteousness, by whose stripes ye were healed"
this time her mother was sitting by her bed side, she drew her mother's attention to the words " by whose stripes ye were healed " then she said to her mother "well that means i was healed ,oh that is wonderful , then i don't need to lie on this bed any more." as she said so , she stood up from the bed and started to walk around in the room proclaiming "i am healed ,i'm healed , praise the Lord " and that was the end of her sickness.
you can know the truth , use the truth and be the truth that others will know in Christ to set them free.
