Tokyo is one of the most, If not the most densely populated cities in the world, The Greater Tokyo Area Alone has about 38million residents, That's 2 times higher than the population of Lagos!!

And despite this huge population, You can rarely hear about traffic in Tokyo, Tokyo has one of the fastest bullet trains in the world, Who needs a car when you can get to your destination faster with a bullet train?

It is also the second largest single metropolitan area in the world in terms of built-up or urban function landmass at 8,547 km2 (3,300 mi2), behind only New York City at 11,642 km2 (4,495 mi2)

Nah eh! No qualms
This is so sophisticated
In as much as you are trying to compare Lagos to Tokyo
U should also be reminded that Tokyo is almost 2 times Lagos landmass (so the traffic wouldn't be much)
Also Tokyo has lot of amazing infrastructure which no other African city can boost of

Because the people in tokyo are more civilized than Nigeria.

There are actually bad traffic in tokyo but the People in Tokyo obey traffic rules and regulations unlike here.

No planning here, people disobey government planning strategies and do not take permits before they build...people here are lawless.

I've Also said the major problem of Lagos is Improper planning, People erect buildings anywhere, No Town planning nothing, And instead of solving the problem from the scratch by replanning, They just build another Useless road which make the traffic even worse!!

The famous Shibuya Interception in Tokyo alone has about 3,000 people crossing it Every 5minutes

And still there has never been traffic grid-lock there, Imagine if it was Lagos??

Imagine if Lagos has this?? We wouldn't be complaining about flooding, But since the whole of Lagos is not planned, What else could we have expect??

Tokyo has an underground water infrastructure, It is the world's largest underground flood water diversion facility, built to mitigate overflowing of the city's major waterways and rivers during rain

That is a silly excuse, Nigeria has a good landmass, You can prolly live anywhere you want

But in Japan's case, It's different, 75% of japanese landmass is Inhabited, Because it's rocky and prone to earthquakes and landslide, And even volcanic eruption, So people only live in about 25% of the land, Despite having a huge population of over 130million People

A typical black person can't think his way out of problems, And that factor is affecting all Black nations!!

No wonder we don't have any black successful country!!

Ask afonjaz
Since they said we should stop developing Lagos that it’s their own and birth right, the city has started crumbling
They prefer to build shanties at ajegunle and co
They shared our houses between themselves during the civil war, now look at them again

For Lagos to become like Tokyo, a lot of slums, shanties and substandard housing would have to be demolished. And any government that tries to do that would be considered 'anti-poor'. And such government would likely lose reelection, in a democratic setting because the backlash would be fierce. Only under an autocratic administration can such be achieved.

Maybe. But if Lagos is that far behind, other Nigerian cities are even worse off. Eko Atlantic would be a game changer though, that's for sure.

You certainly love playing the tribal card. He never said where he is from, he only pointed out a problem (the traffic in Lagos) and used Japan as a case study to solve it but here you are, your little brain can't think more than tribal wars.
The fact that you are not even a Lagosian is what is more interesting, you left the issues bothering your state, and your region to act like an unwanted cavalry. I would have referred to you as a bigot but that would be waste of words, you are simply a CLOWN seeking unnecessary attention, go get a life Kiddo.

Very true, only Abuja, Kano (certain parts), Uyo, and Greater Port Harcourt can match the development in Lagos. Lagos is by far the most developed state in the country and I think it has to do with the vision of the past leaders, they kept politics aside and focused on development.

Simple answer: Bulk of the revenues generated in Tokyo, NY, London etc stays in those cities. In the case of Lagos revenues generated from her critical infrastructure are taken to Abuja, where it is later shared to all states in the country, according to landmass, population and other ridiculous criteria.
