LightOnScams:How I wish the emotions with which she sang the anthem is the same emotion our Government is committed to Nigeria's development... ... They will invite her to come and sing the anthem in a conference they over budgeted for ... The money they used to call her will also be Over budgeted... They are creating slavery for their next generations ! |

How I wish more people will see the individual achievement of the singers and try to emulate it in their own endeavours instead of jumping on the government without apparently realising we the people are the government who need to commit to our own endeavours so we don't become slaves to conditions we create. 1 Like

Am I the only one that gets charged up whenever I listen to or read the lyrics of the National anthem, especially the 2nd stanza. One reason I love watching national team football, there's something spiritual about the national anthem and there's everything spiritual about this country, and until we return to the one above who giveth directions, this country may never move forward. What a wonderful rendition. What an experience. #TheExperience of Peace. 2 Likes 1 Share |

The best rendition of the Nigerian anthem I ever heard. Unfortunately, Nigeria is saddled with highly uninspiring, illiterate and devilish leaders. |

Rubbish, when i was a kid i took the National anthem to heart, i made sure i was patriotic, i wasn't tribalistic, i loved everyone, everytime i sang the anthem with pure joy and pride. But later my eyes started opening especially when i started noticing the politicians behaved opposite of what the anthem denotes. They took the masses for fools, caused majority of them pain and sorrows as the years went by. Anyone common man that is still patriotic today is not normal, cos no one enjoys suffering. 1 Like |

Kalaba:No, you are not the only one charged up whenever I listen to or read the lyrics of the National anthem. We danced in the streets when it was adopted in 1978 and replaced the previous national anthem, "Nigeria, We Hail Thee", which I also continue to love. Both are calls to Nigerians to activate and fulfil our great and unique potential as Nigerians and along with our Pledge, a map of the way to it. The pity is that rather than seeing it as a call to themselves to be the change they want to see, too many are deaf and expect the government to be their messiah. You can tell by the many who have not pledged here. 2 Likes
