Residents and traders are counting their losses as 23 Road festac Town market in lagos state is demolished. Many of the traders claimed they were not given the opportunity to evacuate their wares. Some others are also blaming the insensitivity of the govt for not giving them time to recuperate from the covid 19 losses before dealing them this heavy blow.

You should learn to follow government master plan, so many shanties were destroyed last month and many are still going down, Lagos is not a place you come and build without approval, it's the same you screaming Lagos is a glorified slum , we thank you for calling our attention to it, and considering the level of insecurity now I think government need to take action, you all saw what happened there weeks ago when hoodlums chased away police men there..

You can not see a well laid out street and start building rubbish which is not in the plan, those are the things you guys did that disfigured festac. Festac used to be a beautiful place but not anymore

Are there not lawyers who can sue the government for this continuous wanton ruins?

I grew up in FESTAC and still visit the Town weekly cause some of my activities revolve around the town, really it was a site to beholding seeing these caterpillar pull down that market, gist has it that the iya loja was aware of the demolition but chose to put the traders in the dark because of her selfish reason. What happened at 23 road market is typical of how government at all level behave, no prior notice, no proper plan for the traders and no proper dialogue with all the stake holders. Last last govt na scam

My people is time we find our way home. Sell ur property outside and come back home and invest. This madness will continue and expand to other states cos they see us as threat, we are hated by all tribes in Nigeria. We urge our leaders in southeast to help us creat more conducive environment to enable our business brothers come back home.

Inasmuch as I'd love to laugh on this, it's really not about the "no man's land people" but people following laws whether indigines or foreigners, the south west is fast becoming a center for a lot of illegal activities and if care isn't taken it's going to affect the economy of the region. People should learn to obey laws whether they're indigenes or foreigners.

Nonsense

Nigerians are unruly and have no regards for laws

No government can demolish people's stores without giving them enough notice

Nigerians never take the government seriously until the government swings into action. Then, they will start crying.

We live here, so let's not pretend like we don't know how Nigerians think.
