You made some valid points, but your premises are wrong. Firstly, it is the society, not nature that puts men over women. History is littered with civilizations where women are the dominant sex. Even in nature, female animals are stronger and meaner.

Secondly, women and children only need protection by men mostly because people still believe that violence against women is understandable and therefore tolerable.

Thirdly, female population is NOT more than male. It is almost the same with the male having a slightly higher number. Check the statistics.
