A licenced and reputable Microfinance Bank in Ilorin Kwara State currently desirous of employing suitable applicants who meet the following criteria as Job title : Business Development Manager Reports to: Managing Director Job purpose The Business Development Manager works to improve the bank’s market position and achieve financial growth by defining long-term organizational strategic goals, building key customer relationships, identifying business opportunities, negotiating and closing business deals while maintaining extensive knowledge of current market conditions. Duties and responsibilities • Analyze how the brand is positioned in the market and crystallize targeted consumers insights • Translate brand strategies into brand plans, brand positioning and go-to-market strategies • Lead creative development and create motivating stimulus to get targeted population to “take action” • Establish performance specifications, cost and price parameters, market applications and sales estimates • Measure and report performance of all marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs) • Monitor market trends, research consumer markets and competitors’ activities to identify opportunities and key issues • Oversee marketing and advertising activities to ensure consistency with product line strategy • Lead brainstorming/creative sessions to generate new and innovative growth strategies • Conceive and implement concepts, guidelines and strategies in various creative projects and oversee them to completion • Train and guide subordinates into accomplished professionals • Supervise the department and provide guidance and feedback to other marketing professionals • Produce ideas for promotional events or activities and organize them efficiently, Plan and execute campaigns for corporate promotion, launching of new products. • Monitor progress and submit performance reports • Conduct general market research to keep abreast of trends and competitor’s marketing movements Qualifications • HND/BSc/ in Accounting, Finance or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus. • Evidence of completion/ exemption of/from NYSC • MCP certification is mandatory Experience • Proven working experience as Business Development manager • Excellent understanding of the full marketing mix • Proven ability to develop brand and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management Skills • Highly creative with the ability to think out of box • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills • Comfortable working with numbers, metrics and spreadsheets • Excellent command of the English language • Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software • Strong leadership and organizing skills • An analytical mind with problem-solving skills • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in work product.
