You are right brother, they look down on each other, they want to know how he is making it, if he/she have papers, where he/she comes from etc. Some don't want anyone to be more successful than them.
There is so much envy, hatred and they are never contented. Most of the church members or workers are adulterous.
Im not trying to be biased or to condemn any
church. C&S or celestial churches are extreme

You need that more than i do, the example you gave and your first comment got nothing in common, you are not bold enough to stand by your first comment, you probably just came across that word and end up using it in a wrong content.

You are a hypocrite.
The OP's post was filled with barely concealed contempt and condescension for her fellow Nigerians.
Laced with snippets of spite and prejudice.
I reply her with harsh words.
That's the way of our people.
We don't sugarcoat foolishness.
BY THE WAY, where are critics like you when nearly 90 per cent of the contributors engage in ethnic abuse and raw ethnic hostility and name-calling?
Never heard a word from you.

Lol what is this one saying? Have you noticed that you have failed to dispute any of her point but rather you display the attitude of..how dare you have an opinion of our church?
Dude her observation is not far from the truth.
#1. The Silence is Deafening!
When I first arrived in the West, I was so taken aback by how quiet everywhere was. On the way out of the airport, I looked around in awe as the pristine clean roads were not littered with with hawkers, jampacked cars , numerous pedestrians and the blaring sounds of horns! - although, mega-cities like New York is an exception to the rule.
#2. Your Neighbours & The Police: You Can Co-exist with Neighbours for Years Without Ever Saying a Word to Each Other.
In the average neighbourhood, you can't make noise anyhow. Everyone minds their business. ... The most you will get out of your neighbors is an occasional nod and smile.
Although this doesn't deter them from watching your every move through their windows... they won't hesitate to call the cops/snitch on you at any slight opportunity. Make noise and fight with your spouse anyhow and you will find police knocking at your door.
#3 Raising kids in a Predominantly Black Neighbourhood Can Spell Doom.
Bullying is incessant in these communities. Gang culture, crime, violence etc..
#4. Your Child(ren) can be Taken from You.
This almost happened to a close friend of mine whose nosy neighbour called child services on her because she heard her baby crying for a lengthy period of time. And the police actually showed up to her house to carry out a thorough investigation on the living conditions of the baby.. Thank God nothing incriminating was found..
Moral of the story: be careful with how you care for/discipline your kids when living abroad.
#5. Nigerian Churches (most RCCG branches) are Epicenters for Drama & Toxicity.
Avoid! Just Avoid!
#6. Black (especially Nigerian women) are at the Bottom of the Food Chain; be it at the Workplace or on the Dating Scene.
Young black guys will rather date white or mixed race girls.. (may not be true for all) but my observation living in London.
...and at work, we have to work twice as hard to be respected and valued. The biggest oppressor of a black woman at work is a white woman (and in some cases, your fellow blacks).. but not a white man surprisingly.
#7. You will Happily Miss Home from Afar and be so Much More Invested in the Affairs of Nigeria than Those Living in Nigeria.
Need I say more?
#8.You May Gain Weight.
Kebabs & Pizzas
Chicken and chips.
Cheap and irresistibly delicious chinese takeaways
Fish & chips
TGI Fridays & Nandos
Beautiful conditions

Does it mean that every time you will meet a black woman at work for the time, you will see a potential adversary. How disturbing your post is given that you may even started to treat them as such.
By the way, how many black women have you ever worked with? How many white women ? Are you familiar with the notion of subtle or blatant discrimination? Where are you located if I may ask you?
|Re: Sad Truths About Living Abroad by TheCongo2: 4:36am On Dec 27, 2020|
Com'on bro I don't know where you live and I don't know what your experience is but I am afraid this may be in your head. Some people have low self esteem and they think other people underestimate them while this may not be true
|Re: Sad Truths About Living Abroad by TheCongo2: 5:07am On Dec 27, 2020|
Thank you so much bro for this post.
I am Congolese and for ages I have been trying to convey this message to Nigerians on Nairaland.
Most Nigerians on here always think that the Indians community is doing better than Nigerians in term of unity.
I have told the Nigerians that as long as you aren't part of the Indian community, you will never what is going on in that community. Therefore, you can never say that the Indian community is more united than the Nigerian community.
Now, how do Congolese perceive the Nigerian community? Most of us think that the Nigerians are some of the most united people on the planet. The irony is that we perceive Nigerian unity the way Nigerians perceive the Indians or Chinese unity.
It is after joining Nairaland that I realized that the Nigerians aren't as united as other African think of them. This is where I come to the conclusion that it must be the same with every communities. We can judge the Indian or Chinese community from a distance but once we get to know them then we will realized that the grass isn't always that green
