If you can, use UBA, it's the quickest I have seen. Stanbic ibtc took almost 3weeks for me, within that period, my husband and niece used uba and got debited in 24hours.

Hello Hover, thanks for your contribution. However we were talking solely about the placement year and how some schools include it in course duration from start while others wait for you to secure placement before extending the duration. Placement year is counted as part of studies duration and not PSW. Bless up!

I believe the UK govt. Stated that if you're in the UK for masters program (1 or 2 years) you can apply to get a Post Graduate Work Visa https://www.gov.uk/graduate-visa (which doesn't require you to have a sponsor, neither work nor school). You don't need to have a job to apply for the 2years PGW visa after your masters.

If you're going for a PhD course, you can get 3 years PGW visa with same terms. If you get a job that pays above a certain salary band at any time, you can apply for a skilled worker visa https://www.gov.uk/skilled-worker-visa
