What if the crime was committed with your stolen phone before you reported to the police? Direct to kirikiri...you just succeeded in reporting yourself...
Don't mind him... He's either one of the gullibles or on the payroll of his taskmasters. Even advanced countries who have such sim registrations don't really rely of it when investigating crime. They use in depth technology to trace and track suspects before using forensic analysis to tie any suspect to a crime before a conviction can be reached. If this synchronisation is done without getting a responsible institution in place, you all can kiss your human right goodbye. People will just disappear without prosecution and no one will comment publicly again. Yet crime will be worst because the real criminals are very creative at beating security measures.
