New year has absolutely nothing to do with Christianity or the Bible.. So, yes.

Muslims have a different calendar. Their new year day is not too popular. Google check Gregorian calendar and Hijiri calendar.

What is so special about the new year?

it just means the earth has completed one revolution around the sun. But religious people must surely find a reason to pester their deity
