Nigerian dna market is unregulated, dna is your human footprint, your personal data. Dna is not only about testing paternity but it can be use for many things.

I believe there is a plot on Nigerians by some Dna tech companies in Nigeria to raise the discussion about DNA Test in our society because they want to create a DNA bank For Nigerians.

For instance, there is a company called 54gene in lagos that is building an African DNA bank, the company raised almost 15 million dollars from Bill and merinda gates foundation. The company claim that the Greater availability of African genomic data could lead to medical breakthroughs for the African’s 1.2 billion people.

As far back as 2019, the company has almost 60,000 dna samples of Nigerians in their Bank, in addition, the company is based in Washington DC and Nigeria.

How many of you are concerned about your privacy, don't let social media discussions fool you, some of these dna companies might be the ones sponsoring the discussion so that people can go for Dna test, soon they will gather your data and also sell it to the highest bidder in the United states or to law enforcement agencies.

54gene is a 100% Nigerian company whose mission is to ensure that pharmaceuticals produce drugs compatible with the African genome. There is nothing secret about its work. Also DNA data exists at different levels. Paternity testing does not utilize enough base pairs to give a complete genomic footprint.

Let's not cry wolf when the real wolf is yet to appear.

why would someone need to keep his DNA private? what is inside that DNA that needs to be hidden, unless you are an alien and you dont want people to find out. its just like refusing to allow a doctor collect a sample of your blood for malaria test because you feel that analyzing your blood is an intrusion of your privacy, who did this to us africans? what a way to think. Imagine if this DNA company has all the DNA of all the 200 million people of nigeria digitally stored on their server, do u know that it becomes easire to catch thieves and criminals. a criminal was caught in America because he left a half eaten chocolate bar at the crime scene, they analysed the saliva on the chocolate bar and caught him the following week

The US company are creating a DNA bank without most people knowledge because Nigeria is an unregulated market.

With these information, they can engineer your genetics, they can use your dna to track you, it can be used for mass surveillance.

Even in the United states, there was a leak, that the government was compiling dna samples of foreign diplomats. It was a scandal.

Now think, why do they need foreign diplomats dna

I have said it before if they wanted to gather information they wouldn't need dna at all when they can on your webcam on your computer and camera on your phone without you noticing, have spy satellites that can listen and watch you from orbit, they also have your cookies you are browsing a website.
Also I don't know how this topic reached frontpage it is just a bunch of conspiracy theories with little to no evidence to back up

Many government are trying to create a dna bank of their citizens so they sponsor many private companies to collect these data.

Nigeria for instance, does not have rules for dna data protection.

American companies are already filling the gap in our unregulated market and they can get it by any means. These companies want African DNA samples and they are already compiling them.

The citizens who do not understand dna testing and data protection just give their dna data away without thinking, many of them think dna is only for paternity testing but they don't know that dna can be used for many things.
