Nigerians can lie and pretend as if they are so patriotic. I bet with everyone here that has contributed one thing or the other to this migration discussion that everyone of you wouldn't even think it twice before accepting to migrate to Canada or any of the western world to have a better future for yourself and your family including even the Fulani Northerners + Boko Harams guys too....

Everybody desire a beautiful living where things work and human life is much appreciated and well nurtured. I say to all of you hypocrites saying otherwise that you too crave for a better society where the reward for your labour will be well appreciated without sweat or cry, without any godfathers or bribery. The difference between the western world is the value to human lives and well being.

One day, Nigeria will be better but presently, Nigeria is not worth dying for and if you are so convinced that you are the Messiah to rescue Nigeria from the grip of these rapists of leaders and Politicians, that's very appreciative and we say Kudos to you. However, I support mass migration to a better society and a better living, just be legit in your hustle abroad, be dedicated towards a self improvement of your self and family and always remember that one day Nigeria will be good and by then, Nigeria will have a reason to call you to come home and showcase your expertise. That golden call might be you or your future grandchildren left behind and living that good life in the western world. Time I say, determine when that opportunity will come when that glorious call will be made. ..Till then my people....travel enmass, go for that better lives and escape from this self destructive country call Nigeria. That's my candid advice.....

Hi, get skilled up when you get to Canada. You should try and do what other Nigerians are not doing in Canada cool cool cool. What stops you from moving to a Province like Saskatchewan or a Farming Community in Alberta ? You should try and work on a Canadian Farm and start gaining useful experience there. Canada is great when it comes to Agriculture. You can learn how to raise farm animals or plant crops in a very advanced way. I am sure Farmers over there will pay you good money if you can do basic plumbing or carpentry for them on the farm. Besides, you might get free accommodation on the farm. You can also start a business in those unknown provinces in Canada. Especially a Cleaning Business or Roof Mending/Carpentry Business. Don't work as a Cleaner for any Agency or Company. Start your own Cleaning Business/Company in Canada. Be different from 98% of Nigerians in Canada. Cheers.
Nice advice.

I came to Poland and in this short space, I have realised how messed the Nigerian system is. It doesn't build her youth for success, it destroys them. Here, we're hopeful for tomorrow as there's light at the end of the tunnel. We can see it, and it is for this we put in hard work

Wow.....funniest thing is someone was just talking to me about Poland last week, abeg you mind giving me more info pls

All i see is lack of self-worth, if all those people who you are going to their country had destroyed their own country the way you destroyed yours will you be able japa to their country?

They will call you monkey, you will claim they are racial, but you are behaving like one, what do you want them to call you? Why don't you think of a way to repair your own country that has been destroyed instead of running away. Overtime you will lose value where you are running to, which is happening already.

There is no country in the world where a Nigerian has honour or prestige again,a common Ghana will be threatening Nigerians, look @ how bad it is, because they know it is problem that drive you come and they already know your story. They can threaten you and abuse you @ any given opportunity, because they know you have no choice. For how long do you all want to run, instead of you uniting and repair what has been destroyed.

please direct all these u typed here to the right individuals/quarters. U know them (I will not waste my time/energy to reveal/describe them for you!).

Please for the love of God, stop blaming Nigerians for migrating. Do u like the way all our law enforcement officers behave as if the plug that connects their brain have been pulled out?

Do u like the way hospitals keep on rejecting gunshot and accident victims?

Who will fix the country u keep asking, these leaders yes.

If u trace China devt, it started when the govt (communist govt o.... No be democracy) commenced outright redistribution of land from wealthy high class in the society to middle, low class and the miserable peasants to crush inequality with massive fatal blow.

It will surprise u to know that one of the recent China pm was the son of one the peasants who benefitted from this policy.

All the leaders, police and others that you mentioned are they not the Nigerians like you and I? or are they foreigners? It is only a coward that sees running away from his problem/challenge as the best solution. Let Nigerians that still have some level of sanity in them unite and fight for a better Nigeria.

the Nigerians that still have conscience and their sanity are getting fewer with each passing day!

Do u know more and more sane Nigerians are loosing their conscience?

Do you that the Nigerians society now rewards bad deviant corrupt behavior?

The best solution is to get leaders who have conscience, sanity and love for country with iron fist in position of authority that will force the citizens to behave well!

You don't have to buy a house in us with loan

You can get a medium house around $200,000 in cash

You can get a car as low as $4000 in cash for used car

And as low as $21,000 in cash for new car

If you wanna achieve this
. work pretty hard.
Its going to take a long time

You wanna get it quickly.... Good credit scores
. and you get a loan...

Nobody is discouraging anyone here

I will not house you

No one will house any random person when you start paying bills

Lol! You are very funny...saying, "you can get a house of $200,000 in cash." Please how many people have $200,000 in cash lying around. You are so funny. Lol

To a Nigerian life is all about money but trust me 2 secs before you die you will know there is more to life.

My uncle among first ppl who went to Canada in the 80s , relocating to badagry

The money they give you . Will be used for taxes, rent and bills.

No input no output . No be every work Dey pay all your bills. Some will pay half of ur house rent some will pay all.

As abroad fine reach many homeless.

Last time I traveled I went to fast food joint before I even throw the food into garbage. One homeless guy grab and eat my left over.

Some ppl Dey abroad but na naija dem destiny Dey but no patience.

Them for make an for naija with more focus, application and patience

By the time u reach 70 u will see some in naija are more well of with zero debt.

The west is designed to keep u in debt . You cannot get some jobs without credit score.

But ppl no go hear. It’s good but in the long run u might regret

Are you bothered about Nigerian homeless in canada

Have seen a white American homeless guys... They look unwell and hungry

They request for a dollar bill from everyone at the car stand grocery's...

They are US citizen by birth and have full right but still poor and homeless

The question is why can't this people enjoy their own green pastures

All this your long story
All you have done is show how possible it is to make money. After that then what?
You buy a bentley and drive it through flooded streets littered with potholes
You build 20 foot fences around your house and cage yourself behind barred
You spend sleepless nights thinking of how to secure your money because you cant trust anyone and honestly life is too unstable. You cant trust anything or anyone.

You are constantly hiding how wealthy you are for fear of being robbed or kidnapped.

My friend some things are more important than money

Leave that guy, some naive persons think just acquiring money is the ultimate goal in life. Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs readily comes to mind.

I personally know an oil worker who earned far above the average Nigerian worker, lived comfortably yet relocated with his family due to insecurity, poor healthcare and general toxicity of our environment etc in a bid to secure a better future for his kids.

Come back 15 years later and share your Canada experience with us young man cheesy. But when you come back, hope you'd not hide when you see your friends and mates you left behind Progress grin.

Nigeria is a land of opportunities to only those who have the inner eyes to see one. Nothing can ever make me take such a decision of relocating. If you want to go, bye-bye but you'd spot the difference in later years if you choose to remain there . Why not apply same spirit on developing yourself here? Go there for studies and come back with opportunities. I'd like to cite a few examples below on some of us who came back, against all odds.

1- I've been around the globe, even acquired certificates, up to 4 different ones and some training skills in amazing facilities. I came back with an opportunity which is seriously proferring solutions to our problems in Nigeria today. No manager in the leading oil and gas company in Nigeria can match my worth...no be bragging matter. I don hobnob with world leaders, including Barack Obama. I'd have regretted it, had I stayed back.

2-Anyone who goes to one of the old generation banks would see an inverter with battery banks on one side of their banking hall, powering their atms... its as a result of an innovation brought home by my uncle. He left union bank for Atlanta in the 90s, got employed at Walmart as stores officer. One day, as he was going home branched at a newspaper vendor( a mexican) booth to read papers as usual and there he spotted an Inverter company located in Arlington. I'm mentioning it as it is so people could check it out. Its called Trace Engineering, later changed their name to Xantrex. He applied to them to be their rep in Nigeria to solve the epileptic power supply in critical sectors but they refused his application for 3 reasons. One, that the product was new to Africa and 2ndly, that being black, it would be impossible to convince his people on adopting the technology. 3rdly, that they weren't ready to expand beyond the shores of America as at that time. He felt disappointed. 2 months later, they called and told him they had reconsidered his application and invited him for 2 weeks training after which he was asked to come to Nigeria with demos to show to his prospects.

Long story cut short, his friends of Nigerian decent blasted him, they said his village people had come calling. He summoned courage and left America with almost nothing. On getting home, he started from his 1-room apartment he left behind. He went to companies, the CBN and other places in government too. CBN told him they had constant power supply with 3 standby automatic switch generators so, they'd not need his ideas. He told them but its free, they now allowed him to install one demo unit at their IT dept. 6 months later they had issues with their generators as there was a major power outage from national grid so they over fired the generators. They all packed up within same time. They had to order parts from abroad but then they needed to keep their IT dept running to prevent loss of files. The moment the 3rd gen stopped , all the directors were panicking, rushed to the IT room only to find out that the staff were working as normal with lights on. They called my uncle over, first thanked him for saving them a major disaster and gave him a contract to install the inverter on all the CBN branches nationwide. Shortly after that, the atm revolution came and CBN recommended this man to all banks starting from the old generation banks...this man won a global distributor of the year 4 times and was invited with family to the USA for an award each time. His colleagues back then can't even near him in anything. Rather he gives them money on each visit. If you want to go...go for schooling or you spend a little time there and while you're there, study the environment, study our challenges back home and you'd not regret leaving for home ultimately.

My 50cents had been given...

Thank You, the goal has always been, to go out be equipped and return to impact positively in our country.
But from what you've written so far I've instinctively deduced that you're from a well to do family and if by any means you go out nd return you have something to return to.

But mehn! Thousands that are traveling abroad are the literally the alpha and omega of their family, extended family and most times their kindred. So they really can't step out and return and start up just like every other person who has not seen the shores of the country.

You really get everyone to step out nd come back, most times it's not about the money but how the system works. No one would want to taste honey nd come to sugar.
PS: I'm still a small boy you can correct and advice me where I might have misyarn. Thank you in anticipation.
