Woe stories everyday. A government does not see it as incredible when people loose confidence in them. This is what reasonable governments in some other countries try to maintain at all cost because if people loose confidence in you then, who really are you presiding over?

Not just December salary. FG is still owing lecturers 4 months salaries. I just wonder why this Government is so deceitful and dishonorable.

Lecturers under ippis have been paid. Did they work? What makes them more special than the ones not under ippis that the government agreed to pay too?
Your concern should be with buhari and his cohorts that entered into an agreement for the strike to be called off and they'll pay the lecturers only for them to default

My concern should be with someone wanting to collect pay for the work he didn't do. That's evil

This is 99% of the reasons these professors refused our children to go back to school.

What is wrong in doing the right thing in this country for Krissake?

Corruption and Paying Ghost workers salaries is a second nature to some corrupt souls.
It has become a norm!

There was a nation!!
Some education will save you some public ignorance. What do you know about the structure of these payments platforms.

You think civil servant salary structure is same as university lecturers.

KEY POINTS

1. ASUU members are been owed 4 months salaries as we speak.

2. FG, NASS, Religious and Traditional leaders intervened to make ASUU call off the strike. Some of them stood as guarantors for FG.

3. The agreement we are talking about is around 1 month old. It took 9 months to reach the agreements, but FG is already failing to honour it.

4. THE SIMPLE QUESTION IS;
DOES FG WANT OUR CHILDREN BACK IN SCHOOL?

OR

THEY JUST DON'T CARE?

Try to investigate before jumping into conclusion, all lecturers are now directly or indirectly on IPPIS.

Oga, what is been discussed here is not politics. Your expertise in that area is not in doubt. But on this one, you are misfiring. Have a full grasp of what IPPIS is, to the University system before delving into the conversation.

You are a respected member of this forum. Your opinions should be based on facts.

Abeg tell them oo but the Government is busy allocating billions to themselves as useless allowance. I am so disappointed with H.E. Senator Ngige cos i use to see him as a role model but this government has changed him.

Read labour laws. Why did ASUU embark on strike? If FG can't pay them salaries, what about their accumulated earned academic allowances since 2013?

If APC can woefully fail to create employment despite the strings of promises they made to Nigerian youth during campaign, I don't see why they'll not fail to honour their agreement with ASUU

With APC in government, failure is inevitable.

N-Power scam is still fresh in our memory.
Re: FG Reportedly Fails To Honour Pact With ASUU by brexit: 7:05am On Jan 04, 2021
ASUU should be very careful, other nations have academic unions and you won't tell me that these countries are fulfilling all their agreements hence harmony in their educational system

Most ASUU members are cultists hence their operations in our universities, but one caution for them is that Nigerian youths cannot be taken for granted again, any attempt by ASUU to disrupt the system will be resisted by #endasuu, they should be guided accordingly
