Chinese people are not going (you used migration which is wrong and a stretch) to the US because of any wrong perceptions you have about China but because of a lot of reasons which include.
1. Gaokao exams in China is very difficult where 10 million students battle to get into China's higher institutions and, therefore some rich parents would rather send their kids overseas.

2. Employability chances and schooling in the top universities adds credence to one's CV therefore a lot go over there to study.
