Alhaji Bello Isa Bayero, a former National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has died at the age of 82.

A family source who spoke to Igbere TV on condition of anonymity said that the prominent Kano politician died in the state on Thursday at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital after a brief illness.

Confirming the passage of Bayero, president Muhammadu Buhari's Personal Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, prayed to God to forgive his shortcomings and grant him Jannatul Firdaus.
