Ohaneze needs to reinvent itself by moving away from political partisanship and focusing on development. Never again should Ohaneze corporately choose a presidential candidate. Since, all parties have Igbo as members, give audience to every presidential candidate to present his plans for SE region and then allow people to make their choice.

The new President, Prof George Obiozor, needs to spearhead the setting up of an Ohaneze Think Tank - an intellectual arm - to research on ways of strategically advancing the political, economic and social interests of Igbo race nationally and globally.

There is no reasons why South East States shouldn't have high-brow estates and world-class Industrial Estates to encourage the "aku luo uno" philosophy to develop Igbo land economically.

Furthermore, apart from the above-mentioned strategic thinktank and already existing committees, Ohaneze also needs to create more standing committees to involve YOUNG Igbo people in its affairs. Such committees will cover areas like Economic Development, Youth Development, Education/Students' Affairs, Sports Development, Diaspora Relations, Reconciliation, Inter-ethnic Relations, Intra-constituents (Nsukka, Ikwerre, Anioma, Aros, Abakiliki, etc.) Relations, Igbo language and Culture Promotion, etc.

Bottomline is that Ohaneze needs to be more responsive, more responsible and relevant to the life an average Igbo person. Simple!

You could not have put it more better than this !
The Ohaneze think tank, the Diaspora committee and economic development etc are long overdue; I pray that Prof. Obiozor brings his wealth of experience to bear to actualise the above objectives.

Whether the 2023 presidential election will hold or not, Nd’Igbo are saying: it’s the turn of the Igbo to present a president for Nigeria.

Enough of inequality in Nigeria.

who stop you from presenting before? Ojukwu was presented, Alex Ekwueme was presented, madam Obi was presented. The question is: How many igbos will vote for the candidate presented by the ohanneze?

I read you and you sounded like one with high level of reasoning.
However as an Ikwerre son I need to remind you our stand with any kind of relationship with the Igbos.
1. We are related with the Igbos just as Igbos are related to us.
2. We speak Ikwerre language and Igbos speak Igbo language.
3. We are not Igbos and Igbos are not Ikwerres.
4. We must be seen and recognized as a distinct ethnic group just as we see Igbos.
5. We could form a Union just as it is in UK. It could go by the name United People of Igbos and Ikwerre etc
Anything short of these demands is DOA.
Shut your ignorant mouth up. Every igbo group have their own language/dialect. Aro, Ngwa, ohafia, umuahia, ISU etc are all in Abia state but the languages differ greatly. Ebonyi state is even a different matter, Ezza, Izzi etc are unintelligible for other Igbo groups. Central Igbo is an artificial language, and also Igbo groups try to adopt elements from this standardized language to communicate with other groups for easy communication and understanding.

You must be slower than a feral E. africanus. You didn't see how ignorant the statement is. Every Igbo clan/group have their own unique language/dialect. Most speak their dialect first before learning standard central Igbo (which is actually an artificial language) or at most bilingual for those born in some Igbo cities like Aba. The dialect is the mother tongue and not central-Igbo. They learn central- Igbo same way the Ikwerre clan learn centre Igbo.
(I even forgot that you would not be bright enough to comprehend my assessment).
