BENGALURU: Basavanagudi police arrested three foreign nationals on Saturday evening and seized ecstasy pills and cocaine worth Rs 4.5 lakh from them.

The accused are Igbanugo Chibuike alias Mmawulu Udukak Don, 29, of Seegehalli and Uchenna Emmanuel Eze, 25, of Kalyananagar, both from Nigeria, and Manuel Balde, 27, of Murarappa Layout and from Guinea.

Police said the accused trio along with two others came to Basavanagudi area to sell drugs. Cops received credible information about five foreign nationals trying to sell narcotics. A police team rushed near Bull Temple Road. While two suspects managed to escape from the spot, three were arrested.
Police seized 42 grams of ecstasy pills and five grams of cocaine from the trio. Further probe is under way.
