Dear Seun,

Firstly, don't you think it's high time you had a proper office for your company, Nairaland? Perhaps you do, but I am not aware.

You see, Google and Facebook started from dormitories but have become so big that they have physical offices around the world.

Linda Ikeji started blogging from her room. Today, she has offices in Lekki and its environs.

Being online is not enough because having a physical office gives credibility to your business.

If you want the people and government to perceive you as responsible, you need to have a physical office and pay corporate tax/file your tax returns.

Secondly, year in, year out, you don't incorporate any new features into this forum. Just that same boring layout for about a decade now.

Why not improve the emoticons?

Why not integrate a bot that tracks tribalist and smash them a life ban? Don't give us the impression that Nairaland makes more money from fueling tribalist comments and threads.

Introduce something new to make this forum more engaging and thrilling.

Thank you.

Linda ikeji didn't make her money from blogging, bringing her to the picture isn't relevant, not everyone is ready to get him or herself dirty just to live a luxury life, not all of us will go into baby factory ritualism drug trafficking scamming and swindling ritual killing, money laundering, human trafficking, prostitute, potty potty etc, some of us still prefer the dry morsel with contentment and peace.

I don't think an anonymous forum like nairaland should have office because he would be greatly monitored which could lose the core purpose of this platform (hence loss of members and loss of revenue)

Seun seems to be contended with nairaland features and doesn't want to alter anything herein as long as he is raking in money from our rants here but he needs to upgrade

Seun wanted Nairaland to be easily accessible and affordable for everyone because of the cost of data in Nigeria. Do you know that the content of a web page sum up to how much data you spend for viewing? If a site has heavy graphics or pictures, the amount of data needed to access it is higher than compared to simple text.

We love nairaland as it is. Even with EDGE or gprs you can still access nairaland without issues because of how easy it is.

With as little as a few mb you can browse for so long on nairaland while heavy graphic sites wont even load the homepage before you are out of data.

If Seun can code this site, he can code anything, this is just his target.

Well as a real estate and business management professional, i can confidently tells you that anything you are doing that brings you money even if it is Yahoo without modifications and optimization den two things must happen

1: is either that thing come down or
2: it remains stagnant in one place

I think this one of those reasons that kill Nokia..their technical team were sleeping when their competitors were busy working day and night to send them back to the village and I think they succeeded.

This platform is becoming more boring to many participants here becos of lack of improvement or should I speak for myself? Personally two things that are still bringing me to this great forum is trolling and may be to meet good people with good heart from both genders apart from that nothing else!

To the op, you have made a very valid and honest opinion but next time, pls don't use Google as a cast study because they are not in the same category and even at that Google has their own weakneses too and what can that be? Google has a problem with subjective questions and that is why you notice that google is not getting the same numbers of visitors like before again and am not even sure if Larry page and his partners are among the 10 richest people in the world!

Anyway, that is by the way sha.

Seun should go back to the drawing board and come back with new innovation that will improve this platform in effective and efficient manners!

It is not all about your personality and even for the participants but it is all about intense competition in a competitive environment....wait if any platform similar to nairaland with new sophisticated features comes out tomorrow do you think people will be loyal to you not to switch their interest? Hell no...the nature of people always loyal to something becos of the values and satisfaction they will receive and not cos of pity.

If google can still be working on their platform den what is nairalt doing?

Pls do something now before it is too late!

I don't really care any more
He doesn't listen to advice
According to me
1. The site needs better aesthetics
2. Mods should be trained(the ones we ave now aren't mods)
3.A corporate company should be built for NL and he should expand so that NL should have a certain continuity
I don't wish bad
But if seun dies now the forum is very likely to go down
I stress on no2 the MODS SHOULD BE TRAINED!
The former nairaland was far better with more features www.nairaland.com/attachments/74460_nl_deletepix_previousthread_gife3c00c7b83dc5735227b615982bc8d1a

Dry pained tribal bigot.

You are exactly what the OP was all about.

The funniest thing with lame bigots is that they accuse others of the crime they created all along.

Where is the ritual capital of the world?

Shame.

Just curious, what other features do you expect on nairaland aside from its user interface redesign.

I am not talking about the management team

Nigerians always think until you have a large office then you are a proper business.

Nowadays , companies are trying their best to be more efficient by cutting their staff.

Small team is what matters now.

Nowadays with automation, you don't need 20 people to run a site like nairaland, 5 people can do the job.
