A yet to be identified Fulani herdsman on Tuesday reportedly hacked a farmer in Ijabe, Osun State, identified as Ridwan, to death.

Ridwan was said to be working on his farm at Bole village along Iba Road when the herdsman attacked him.

A source in Ijabe town told our correspondent that Ridwan had misunderstanding with the herdsman that killed him sometime last year.

The source said the deceased had accused the herdsman of grazing his cattle on his farm, adding that the duo had a frosty relationship since the incident happened.

He said, “After the Fulani man had perpetrated the act, and the news of the attack filtered into town, some residents mobilised to the settlement of the Fulani herders and seized three people, including the man accused of committing the crime.

“The three people were beaten to a pulp and were later handed over to the police in Okuku division."

When contacted, spokesperson for the Osun Police Command, Yemisi Opalola, asked for more time before reaction.

I try not to be tribalist, one thing though that we must acknowledge is that there is no justice in this country especially when it comes to the Fulani versus any other tribe, including the Hausas.

Perhaps there is a constant ’misorientation’ or disorientation of the Fulani youths to believe they can get away with any atrocities or just perpetual corruption and ineptitude in the political sphere of the other tribes leading to a lack of wills and balls to confront the Fulani menace ravaging the country.

It is however pertinent and indeed urgent that the youths of the other regions organize themselves, arm themselves and chase out these nuisances out of their communities even before they dare to settle. Anywhere they have settled, blood has flowed.

The best form of defense remains attack. Let who has ears ear.

How does one feel comfortable carrying his cows across another man's farmland to graze on its crops, then repeats the cycle over and over.. When the person complains, you rape, kidnap and kill the same person alongside maybe his or her family.

Even writing about it is so irritating..

Imagine, and this are the kind of people myatti Allah want them to join Amotekun, so that bit by bit they will kill all the southern and take over the state. Very worthless opinion for God sake a land that is not theirs.

I think what ever the Fulani are facing they deserve it accordingly. You can't go to a land that is not yours to claim dominion, the only thing you can do is build and live according to the rules that govern them. And that's what this northern herdsmen can't do- obeying the law.

This trend should give every sane Nigerian a cause to worry.When it is affirmed that these marauders cum killers have overshot their limits because they got backing from the powers that be, some people will be calling us wailers or enemies of state.Restructure or dissolve this contraption called country.

The same people that caught a fulani herdsman killer who murdered an innocent man only to hand him to the police that is notorious for setting criminals free would have lynched their own brother to death for ordinary petty theft undecided undecided
