If he is given an option to swear allegiance to Tinubu and be made president, he will do it as fast as possible.

Check out that book on d table by Fareed Zakariah. Not up to a year since d advent of covid, there's already powerful literature on a post pandemic era. Kudos. Here we can't even share free palliatives

This brother is up against it! A great deal of our Igbo academics in politics tend to underestimate the influence of tribalism and nepotism in Nigerias politics. Yet, you can't solve a problem by pretending it doesn't exist! Those two will never support a president of Nigeria from the Igbo extraction! If they wanted such, they had ample opportunities during their time to do so..All of them that fought in that war are like that.. Moreover, Buhari has cut these ones to size! You can only be that powerful to influence or make a president, if you control the corecive instruments of the state. By that I mean the army, the police and the other paramilitary organizations.

Out of command, your influence depends highly on how loyal to your cause the guy in power is or how naively vulnerable he is, as was the case with Jonathan! But if you think that any of these two can impose a president over buharis choice, you're living in a fools paradise! In Nigeria, power is raw, the most ruthless wins. Buhari understands this... The only Problem with him these days is that his desperate attempt to institutionalize the fulani hegemony will ultimately draw a lot of flaks from different quarters and will surely create an avalanche of political tremors. And he won't be there to ruthlessly quell such uprisings.. That's when the likes of Babangida and Obasanjo and Abubakar might step in to influence outcomes yet again..

For a radical departure from the past, IBB and Abubakar hoisted two Yorubas on the two largest political parties in 1999.

Today, will ethnoreligious bigotry allow some set of Nigerians to see reason for a radical departure from what exists in the apex political leadership of Nigeria?

whatever it is, your permutations are subjective.

mind you, PMB is no longer interested in who/which party gets what since he's done with his second term election. It's a case of all man to himself and little or zero militarizing elections to favour APC loyalists.

however,

let's wait for more time to unmask what's still remaining ahead of '23.

They never learn. NEVER DO THEY LEARN

Foolish they are.

How many middle level Northern politicians come to meet with Eastern leaders because of Presidency? Or rather, go to pay homage?

They get level

But these egotistic Zik-like Igbo think they can fix the Unfixable and will be sabotaged within the first two weeks of their “Presidency”

See Moghalu, thinking he is smart and strategic. Yet you mention REFEREDUM for his people and his voice pitch will begin to soar....

See how the once amiable and powerful General Babangida(military HOS 1985-1993) have become so humbled by disease.

Remember when as children were trapped in an army Land Rover his driveway in Dodan barracks because he drove in for a meeting in 1991.Soldiers everywhere that day, armed to the teeth.Power is indeed transient.
The guy was so arrogant back then. He barely waved back at kids hailing him. Guyman go just use newspaper cover him face.

We are mere mortals, look at Babangida the one time handsome president. This life na wah o.

He is looking like he should be, being an elderly person and having battled health problems. He is looking much better than some previous pictures in which he was looking like a stroke patient.

I pray he and Obasanjo have long lives, they wield very real influence.

Spot on. In politics, you sometimes need to do what it takes to get into power without which all your lofty ideas about governance comes to nought.

You said it all when you gave Buhari's example. In times past, Buhari will not touch the likes of Tinubu with a long pole but until he realised that without such people, it will be difficult to get into power. Now he is a 2-term President.

Moghalu should keep reaching out to every part of the country. But I doubt if he will achieve much outside PDP or APC unless he is part of a strong third force that is yet to emerge and whose possibility is dwindling by the day. Good luck to him.

How far has the more important perception taken our country
To increased corruption, higher unemployment, worse inflation, greater insecurity and more poverty.
What else did the fake perception deliver to 206 million Nigerians?
