Yes its january 15th again. That single day that the whole country will recall the first military coup in the country. While its also called armed forces remembrance day dedicated to that unknown soldier. Today no matter what or how it is celebrated , there will always be one name at the back of our minds: NZEOGWU. Now as i type this i'm standing righ in front of nzeogwu statue at okpanam round about i came in from onitsha. The town is very busy not one thing indicates that the town even knows what is celebrated today. Its a kind of saying "we did not send him". So how come if his own town is sleepy, how come the whole country now think its people in the south east that should bear the cross of this one man who as at 51 was in the mid-west? After this i still will go inside asaba at the cenotaph of the 700 victims of the asaba massacare. This event very similar to the lekki killings had people from asaba killed while " chanting one nigeria" and as bishop kukar has said the wounds have not yet healed.

Major Chukwuma Kaduna Nzeogwu was an Igbo man. Okanam, Asaba(real name is Ahaba) and Ibusa(Igbo uzo) are all Igbos

But deceitful Nigerians only remember that Nzeogwu is an Igbo man when the first coup is discussed. Other times, he will suddenly become a "Niger Delta man" or a "South South man". His tribe will suddenly disappear

Nzeogwu was a proud Igbo man and we won't deny him because of the twisted and insidious narratives that have been peddled by some bastards, unfortunately the part of history the enemies of truth will conveniently ignore is that the immediate reason for the coup was the outbreak of political thuggery(the first of its kind in Nigeria's young history) which was pioneered by a certain region... they started the barbaric act of dousing their political opponents with raw acid and setting them ablaze.

don't mind those ones the name Okpanam is derived from these words "okpala anam" or "diokpa anam" it simply means land belonging to okpala of anam. Anam is in anambra state.

So 'political thuggery' is the reason why your hero opened fire and killed defenceless men, children and pregnant women?

May God punish you for your hypocrisy and lack of honesty, you iyamiri bastard

Bastard firstly go learn some facts about the coup. The coup was planned and executed by men drawn from all ethnic groups, majority of the troops who marched with Nzeogwu to attack the residence of the Sardauna were Northerners. And yes the irresponsibility and utter break down of law and order in the wild wild west was responsible for the intervention of the military boys, you yorubawa apes were the first idiots to throw the young republic into chaos, and ironically it was confirmed by one of the coup plotters Major Wale Ademoyega (a Yoruba man) in his book "why we struck" that the main objective for coup was to release Awolowo from prison and make him prime Minister.

Nzeogwu had ccmmanded a training exercise the previous day in those particular neighbourhoods. What he did on the day of his coup was to pretend he was carrying out a continuation of the same training, not until he put the soldiers in position before he told them they were about to execute a military coup d'etat.

Orkar and Tony Nyiam used a similar technique twenty four years later. If you backed down your commanding officer would gun you down on the sport. The enlisted men who participated in the coup were deceived & coerced at the last minute, they had little choice and were certainly not part of the conception & planning process.

It's funny though watching you iyamiri with your shìt-encrusted asses, running around trying to revise history.

*I spit on you lot*

at what forum did the Igbo gather to mandate nzeogwu to execute a coup on their behalf ? did he at any point tell the world that Igbo sent him ? if so it means the north sent Boko Haram and the rest terror groups

I will never deny Chukwuma because of Almajiri and urchins.
He is an Igbo man. Ifeanyi Okowa is an Igbo man. That the Fulani called the Niger Delta doesn't take way their Igbo from them. Though some stupid ones among them will tell you they are not Igbo as if the Title Niger Delta has a better clout than Igbo.
Chukwuma continue to rest in Peace. You are loved!
