The Youth Resource, Development, Education, and Leadership Centre for African (YORDEL Africa) is a youth-focused, non-governmental, non-profit organisation established with the goal of identifying, training and equipping the youth who will guarantee the emergence of a new generation of leaders in Africa that will initiate and play global leadership roles through the demonstration of responsible leadership behaviour and the virtues of accountability, moral integrity and dynamic competence.
We believe that there is no such thing as “a bad kid”. No matter how messed up a young person is on the outside, he is just a diamond in the rough. Once he is cleansed, refined and polished, he will reveal what he really is, a person of great value and worth. We affirm that all human beings are born with innate capabilities to develop and realize their full potentials. This potential can often be hampered by a lack of opportunities and systematic discrimination. We seek to create these opportunities for the youth and to perpetually eliminate these discriminations.
We are is committed to empowering the youth to attain their maximum leadership potentials in life by creating the enabling environment necessary for their sustainable physical, psychological, intellectual and social development. To reach and respond to the needs of African Youths in the area of Formal and Non Formal Education, Health Issues including reproductive health, Family Life Education and HIV/AIDS, Economic Empowerment, Social, Political and Human Rights Education for the emergency of responsible leadership in Africa.
We aim to Promote responsible leadership as a panacea to Africa’s underdevelopment thereby guaranteeing tomorrow’s world through today’s initiative on the youth.
