why is king talking like this..the constituted authorities haven't been able to do something for close to a decade if not more. bokoharam and other forms of banditry is on the rise and people keep dying like chicken. sometimes ago it was, chibok girls, thank God for the boys school, Sir Fasorantis daughter then immigrations officer, professors, doctors,farmers, travellers. truth is it can be anybody. am even afraid of going to farm. would have love to stay in the north but insecurity is on the increase there. the south is gradually catching up. if it were in the US bokoharam and Fulani herdsmen would av been long taken care off.

Gone where? Where in the world do u see people called security networks or vigilante engaging their own lawful security agencies in gun battle? Are u fighting the government with guns then u are a fugitive. It is never done anywhere.

Herdsmen issues can be solved less violently by the people applying pressure on government to fish out and arrest the violent herdsmen or bandits camouflaging with them than taking laws completely into ur hands. Offcourse u will keep monitoring ur area and the ongoing situation.

No, ooni understand that he’s a king, a father and a leader. He’s well educated too so he’s aware it’s improper to do things out of law.

He said.... He has done well and we’ve already praised him but he shouldn’t take laws into his hands. We have the governor there, he is the chief security officer of the state and Mr President has invited him (Makinde). Let the right people that are being authorised to do what is right do it.

Misbehaving in what way? Pls don’t join the troll gangs here to spin this thread towards the path of unnecessary ethnic bashing and mischievous banters.

The oba did what every elder or someone in his capacity would do or say. Don’t be influenced by the thread title. The title as well could’ve been “Oba praises the efforts of Sunday Igboho”

He did praise and acknowledge his role. Sunday Igboho is a champion of the masses. He spoke the voice of the people and acted as expected.

The Oba is concerned about the legacies that Igboho has created or achieved and he is concerned that such legacy is protected. He didn’t want greedy and evil politicians taking advantage of that. He credits Igboho for setting the ball rolling, hence his advice that he should let the authorities take over and do what constituted authorities should do. Igboho should not usurp the responsibilities of the governor and police... If the police and other stakeholders fail in this regard, no one would blame Igboho...in fact failure of the authorities to harness the gains and precedent set by Igboho would make this man a super hero which in my mind, he already is regardless of how events turn out. He has achieved what politicians, police and army couldn’t achieve.
