I disagree. There are real threats and extenuating circumstances only the locals will understand. The fact that this issue festered so long will also ensure everyone will be watching her every action which will further ensure she is held to account.

We often empower leadership in my opinion far too easily without making them uncomfortable enough to appreciate the weight of expectation and indeed realise where the power lies.

Take for instance if this present leadership at the highest levels had been subject to similar angst before eventually being elected the first and indeed second time Nigeria will not be what it is today.
