How do u guys sleep at night with so much tribalism deeply embedded in your heart? Humanity should unite irrespective of our differences. You gain nothing but lose instead whenever u emit hatred. U guys should please wake up. What's the gain when other tribes study in ur region? Oh! that I think upgrade ur ego! When u get down and quarrel everyday, you're saying prayers to the devil , I say. Again, wake up from ur folly. |

Cashsteady: The answer to your question is not far fetched. The high rate of University enrollment among the Igbos brought about that trend. An average aspiring Igbo student will tend to go to the place where the competition is not so much. For example, In the department of computer engineering in institution like FUTO Owerri may decide to absorb maximum of 500 new students in an academic year whereas about 1500 applied for the course as their first choice. Out of the 1500 applicants, 1200 might meet the minimum requirements for the offer of admission but only 500 will be offered admission while other 700 applicants who also met the minimum requirements would not secure admission because the minimum intake of the department is 500 and they have to wait for next year to write another jamb. So a reasonable population of aspiring Igbo students tend to apply for admissions in institutions in the West where competition is not that tough and getting admission is much easier. 2 Likes |

The answer to this stupid topic is. Yoruba don't like going to school, after pushing them all through secondary. They see cultism and Agboro as a lucrative biz. If u doubt me ask Mc Oluomo. 98% of ppl seeking admission in east are Igbo's what percentage can u give ur ppl in ur land. With all the free education u have |

The highest ranked universities are mostly in the Southwest, UI, OAU, Unilag, FUNAAB, etc. In fact, all Federal, and some State, universities in the Southwest have good national and international rankings. If one had to spend 4 or 5 otherwise unproductive years in school, it is better to do it in a recognized school. 1 Like 1 Share |

Kinematics: See this poor Rivers miscreant. Travel to where? Mention 5 scholars of international ranking from your useless backward Rivers state that's filled with cultists, kidnappers, illiterates, etc. Or rather mention anyone from Rivers that can be ranked side by side with Chimamanda. |

Many Igbos do not want to accept the reality of things, we all know SW is the most cosmopolitan region in the whole of Nigeria. Every tribe feel at home in the SW. Besides, alot of the Universities in the SW rank higher (Local and International standard) than universities from other region. So it only Normal, such Uni will attract people from all parts of the country, couple with the fact they feel at home in the SW. |
