I cleared thru World Remit in ten minutes of transaction. I approached the bank first to confirm if they got $ before telling my person to wire...no hassles at all.

It's not easy to send money to Nigeria nowadays.
1. First bank said no US dollars so converted it to Naira
2 Sent money to be collected from GTB, system down for days, money not yet paid.
Think well before introducing any policy. Banks will get the dollars and BDC will not have the desired dollars.
Also, please monitor effectively your new policies.

Zenith bank want 1000 dollars deposit
Nairalandgirl:
Poster, forget all these plenty talks people are giving you here before you fall into scam.
I have the same issue, no more instant credits in naira.
You just have to go to your bank and open a domiciliary account (dollars, pounds or whichever), and the person sends it to you in the foreign currency.
You receive the money directly in your Dom account.
Then you go to the bank and withdraw the dollars or euros
Go to aboki and change to naira. Finish

Note: withdrawal from Dom account is 0.05% of whatever you are withdrawing..

nobody. stop disturbing this abroad people. they are nt the cause of ur misfortune and no be them tell u not to hustle

Thank you. They sit upon their asses, drinking beer, consuming pepper soup, and making babies while they expect their relatives to send them money. They have no business ideas they need money for; all they want is money for food, school fees, hospital bills as if they are not the parents of their own children. They think its their right as if those abroad are their slaves, and as if they don't have their own responsibilities. Tell them you can't help them now, they start talking shit. There is so much land in neighborhoods, but they are too "civilized" to grow vegetables. Enough is enough. Solve your own problems.

If they want to send money to your bank account in Nigeria, we recommend using a specialist currency provider, include WorldRemit, TransferWise, Boss Revolution, Xoom or MoneyGram.

According to our research @ ,
Thousands of people send money back to Nigeria every week.
With over 15 million Nigerians living outside Nigeria, everyone needs an easy and inexpensive way to send nairas back home to benefit family, friends and others.
People from Nigeria send around $20 billion back home each year.

This is even the best and right time to have more money sent from abroad.

After all said and done,
Wiseandtrue,
Maybe that someone you spoke to outside the country is not ready to send you shishi and only decided to keep scoping you... no be u again our darling W! wink

Transferwise can't send to Nigeria at the moment

Use sendwave and receive USD from any access bank branch nearest to you.
That use to be the headaches 10 years ago you are left at the mercy of Aboki duping you or robbers robbing you, receiving the money to your bank account direct was the best option, the FG should have twicked that part.
Re: Who Else Is Experiencing Difficulty In Receiving Money From Abroad??? by egbenduru: 6:30pm On Feb 05, 2021
The difficulty is real ,the problem isn’t the platform to use in sending the money home nor having the money paid out in dollars, rather banks are not willing to pay out money in dollars and keep telling the recipients that the system is down etc ,a banker told me this even .The banks will frustrate the recipient with these excuses until he accepts to be giving naira and of course at he CBN low rate

That's true. People abroad can't send money to your Nigerian bank account. I just received money yesterday from Belgium. The sender used Ria. I went to UBA they were talking trash. Picked it up at Polaris Bank in dollars.

You wet wan collect money no know how much you wan collect?
For as long as your money was sent in Dollar, enter any of the bank that operate Remittance payment,if GTB Bleep up enter first bank, zenith or uba,you go see one wet go pay you.
story, the bank you are sending to has to be listed B4 U press send unless you were using Western Union! or one of them remittance company if bank nor get $$$$ U don enter one chance cos they will offer you Naira at CBN rate! my friend feel into that trap.
This new policy is meant to force operators of Bureau De Change to physically carry their $$$ from abroad and lodge in a Nigerian bank for payout with the hope of I increasing forex in these banks, however, they failed to factor in the cost of transporting such funds and the insurance involved plus taxes in transferring such funds.

Most of them don't know the exact policy they condemned, they don't even know the recent policy is to their advantage, they only follow bandwagon.

The policy is simple ANY INBOUND TRANSFER MUST BE PAID IN REMITTED CURRENCY OR US DOLLARS WHEN SUCH CURRENCY IS NOT AVAILABLE.
what is so difficult in that?
Bro, I was sent some euros since 3 days ago which was supposed to delivered directly to my account, but it didn't up till this moment, so I laid a complain through my leo (chat banking). My bank advised me to open at least freedom Dom account to enable me receive foreign currency (I'll be doing that on Monday). Please, would the money that was sent be given to me in USD/EU?
