Imo State Commissioner for Works, Ralph Nwosu alongside the Commissioner for Special Duties, Barr. Francis Dibiagwu and the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Local Print, Hon.Modestus Nwamkpa are currently in Onitsha, Anambra State for the Second Niger Bridge assessment tour.

The Works Commissioner among others are in Onitsha ahead of time as an advanced team for preparetory grounds as His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma, will later today lead other South East Governor's, Political and Religious Leaders and Ohaneze Ndi-Igbo for an on the spot assessment of the ongoing construction of the Second Niger Bridge.

The Second Niger Bridge is 60% nearing completion and will be due for Commissioning by February 2022 as stated by the Controller Federal Ministry of Works, the bridge is being constructed by Julius Berger Construction Company.

Onitcha head bridge was constructed and commissioned under 12 months before Biafra war. Second naija bridge has been ongoing for decades and is yet to be completed in 2021.

The well publicised 2nd Niger bridge lol. How many people would this project employ sef? Farmers get irrigation and other agricultural reliefs in the north. Down south where land barely needs fertiliser or irrigation are grossly ignored. Federal govt no try at all. Their leaders contribute to their myriad of problems of the south east. They're never united 2023 is near. I hope tend do the needful. Apc and pdp can never solve their problems. They're siames twins
