In my case, I have been in the Game Center business for a while now and it failed in the 1st phase despite establishing it inside a football viewing center...

I started with 2 consoles (Ps3 and Ps4)
I bought the Ps4 brand new on Jumia (#100,000 that year) and with little to zero patronage I sell off Both consoles.

Reasons why it failed in the first place
#Ps2 : I didn't get my shop any playstation 2 because to me playstation 2 is an old school gaming console to me and people operating it in the area where I am located charge thirty naira per 10 minutes soccer game customers play which is too small for me. lol..

#Electricity : If no one is playing we have no other choice than to power off our Gen set.

#Pricing : People play mostly soccer games and as at that time we charge #100 per head per 10 minutes playing time on Playstation 4 which people always find difficult to pay..


How we rectify the issue of having to put off the gen if customers are not around to play

We created a small space for charging (where people pay to charge their gadgets)

We become one of all this bookie company agent.
So if someone is not playing games someone must be staking. If someone is not doing the both , people must be charging.

What about second phase

Op about the Gen and power part.

You should try and get enough fund's to establish either an eatery, POS stand, merrybet etc. Inside your game center this way you'll have reason to have power 24/7.

And you should promote yourself in that area by doing some good deeds.

Like free games on certain days or weekends when you're sure your feet is on the ground then you start billing.

Pick console according to the player's Pocket and game literacy in that area.

2nd phase has been a blast , we rectify the problems we had in the first phase and gbam it clicked. Except the Ps2 aspect

Well mine is purely gaming centre .... ps2,3 and 4.....been good ... my challenge is the guy I put there ,,,it’s obvious he’s eating into my income cause whenever I’m there I get more (almost double of what he delivers).......plus the electricity there has become poor making the cost of running generator shoot up

The creating a small cave for people to pay to charge will surely solve the fuel expenses problem

What's is the consumer like on your 17kva and 40kva gen.
I will like to have an idea of how much you spend on fuel for the two gens and quantity.
Also
How many ACs, TVs and computer does the 40kva handles ?

Omooo... Will charge to answer questions ooo,

Like 3k+or- 1k average for 17kva, usually on from 8.30 am to like 9 pm, with nepa giving light for like 3 hours thats like 9 hours.
40kva takes about 5k+or-1k diesel if used same
way

Loads plenty gan, led lights are negligible
About 20 tvs maybe 15 to 16 consoles, 2 microwaves, big chiller, 2 deep freezers, 5 inverters, 8 ox fans.. Some that i cant remember, all usually.

Funny thing is with exception of inverters and acs, even 13kva diesel gen will power all

On ac matter, there are 6 in food, 3 in games, on small gen i use only 1 or 2 in food. on big gen i can use all but i sometimes limit it to 4.

November 2022...i swear i didn't know i was enjoying befote, i go close fown business soon, same gens are using 26 yo 32k diesel now, income self con go down, bikes have also being banned so customers movement is harder
