yemmit90: @fnk, valarinz and other Broilers farmers on this thread, our birds are 3weeks old today and over 1000 of them got the same life body weight as show in the picture.

Are we getting it right?

Couldn't see any picture bro, besides I think pictures can't be a good determinant of how well your birds are doing, get a scale and weigh them, its better that way.

Thanks

This is a bad one really, but a bag isn't upto wot they are suppose 2 be consuming na. Atleast they shld be consuming a bag and a quarter daily. Where did u get them from? Was it day old or POL dat u purchased. Bottom line is management, if u are sure they are not sick.

They took 'Starter Mash' for 20 days, started 'Grower Mash' at day 21(still on Grower), we will start giving them 'Finisher Mash' from day 30 till we pack them off.

Noting much to look out for, just check them very well if they're healthy. Your success depends on the management of your chicks(especially during 14days of their arrival).

@obnelly, i am interested in knowing how to prevent odour because people have started to buy land close to where i intend to start my poutry and i want to try and minise the odour that would come from my poultry. i bought the land in the outskirt of town but as with other places people have started buying land there and i think they will be building residential accommodation soon. the good thing is i got there first and i am still the only there at the moment, but i would not want to cause trouble or inconvinience my neighbours at a later date, so strategy to try and minimise odour would be welcome. i know you said to contact your number but like you said you have been follwoing this thread you would see that information is usually shared here in the thread so that others can benefit from it. GOD BLESS NIGERIA

just go 4 farm support as it gave me virtually no probs and mortality was close 2 0%. Buh a friend of mine is doing zartech and it is ok too just dat he said they are prone 2 sanmonella and newcastle disease. He gives lasota monthly 2 his birds.
