UAE Extends Ban On Nigerian Flights Till March 10 by Doraty1(f): 5:01pm On Feb 14, 2021
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has extended the suspension of flights from Nigeria (Lagos and Abuja) from February 28 to March 10.

The UAE aviation authorities made this known in the updated travel protocol posted on the website of the Emirates Airline, the flag carrier of the UAE, on Sunday afternoon.

The update read, “In line with government directives, passenger services from Nigeria (Lagos and Abuja) to Dubai are temporarily suspended until 10 March 2021.

“Customers from both Abuja and Lagos will not be accepted for travel prior to or including this date. Passengers who have been to or connected through Nigeria in the last 14 days are not allowed entry into the UAE (whether terminating in or connecting through Dubai).

“Emirates flights from Dubai to Lagos and Abuja will continue to operate as per the normal schedule.

“We regret the inconvenience caused, and affected customers should contact their booking agent or Emirates call centre for rebooking. Emirates remains committed to Nigeria, and we look forward to resuming passenger services to Dubai for our customers when conditions allow.”

Daily Trust reports that Emirates suspended its flights a few days after the Federal Government sanctioned the airline over the introduction of rapid antigen test as a requirement for Dubai travellers, which is against the Nigerian negative PCR requirements.

The Federal Government through the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) had penultimate week banned Emirates Airlines’ operations in Nigeria for violating COVID-19 protocols.

Director-General of the NCAA, Capt. Musa Nuhu, had announced the ban on February 4, 2021.

The NCAA said the ban was necessitated by the continued airlift of passengers from Nigeria using the Rapid Antigen Tests (RDT) conducted by laboratories that are “neither approved nor authorized by the appropriate regulatory.”

This, according to the apex aviation regulatory authority is in flagrant violation of the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19 directive.

Though the ban was lifted after Emirates announced the withdrawal of the antigen test the following day, the airline suspended all Nigerian flights and only allowed flights from Dubai to Nigeria.

The truth about the ban is that lagos state and fg wants part of the money generated. They are already collecting 10k on every pcr test.

Why is it called United Arab Emirate.

Because the Arab seven Emirates "came together" on a round table and decided to form United Arab Emirate. To be United means to have a common purpose. Unity is not by force. You can never force unity.
The UAE is a small country with the Population of 9.2 million which 1.4 million were Emirati citizens and 7.8 million were expatriates, with the total Size of 83,600 km2 just a little more than Niger state in Nigeria.

These are the 7 Emirates that "DECIDED" to form UAE.

(1)Emirate of Abu Dhabi: The largest Emirate by area of land 82% of the UAE with the population of 2,120,700 people, of which 439,100 people are indigenous .

(2)Emirate of Ajman: The smallest of the emirates. Despite being the smallest, they control their economy.

(3)Emirate of Dubai: this is the most visited Emirates by Nigerians and Nigerians oppressors .The wealth of Dubai stays in Dubai, wealth generated in Dubai is not use to sponsor projects in other Emirates.

(4)Emirate of Fujairah: Just like other Emirates , they own their destiny, they controls their own Emirates, They make their own law. For instance: The Fujairah government prohibits foreigners from owning more than 49% of any business.

(5)Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah: This is one of emirates that has never discovered oil, Ras Al Khaimah has focused on diversifying its economy , from real estate to Tourism.
companies may be owned 100% by foreign investors in one of the many Free Trade Zones in Ras Al Khaimah

(6)Emirate of Sharjah: The only Emirate in the UAE in which the sale of alcohol is prohibited, although its consumption in one's own home is permissible if one is in possession of a valid Alcohol Licence (as is the transportation of alcohol between the place of sale and the home). The only place this prohibition is relaxed is the members-only sporting club, the Sharjah Wanderers.

(7).Umm Al Quwain: Has not made any significant find of oil or gas in its territory and depends on revenue from hotels, parks and tourism.

The United Arab Emirates is a federal constitutional monarchy made up from a federation of seven hereditary tribal
A percentage of revenues from each emirate is allocated to the UAE's central budget..
This is how to make a nation not by shouting "one united Nation". You will be united when there are terms and conditions. A country that's not build on solid foundation will not survive.

Simple solution:

1. Allow Airlines to choose which clinics to do tests and what type of test to run...it is now clear that the occurrence of fake covid test results from Nigeria, is too much to ignore. Other airlines will soon adopt this.

OR

2. Implement technology for detecting the authenticity of test results given here in Nigeria.

What would be the goal of such? Unless you plan on banning the airline from operating in Nigeria for a longer period of time all it would amount to is a petty waste of air and time.

Chai my dear country why?

What an insult.they ban nigerian flights to dubai but their flights to nigeria will continue to operate with the time of ban..what a slap?

Thats why we need to restructure our minds...we are the problem and not the government...the day we stop voting party and starts voting credible people into office not minding their party is the day we will start seeing light in this country.

This is exactly what happen .Emirate airline bought a land from federal government @ MMA2 , for there personal laboratory set up to corried out covid test for there pasanger before airlifting under 1 hr the traveller will get there result by emirate certify covid doctors send to Nigeria from London that will work with there certify doctor in Nigeria , and they started this test successfully for there passengers @ MMA2 . they have already got there approval from FG in abuja to operate and a land was sold to them @ MMA2 to set up there laboratory. Now how come the same government won't allow them to carry out there covid test by there certify doctors they know , this will give them 100% assurance of the result before allowing Nigeria to enter UAE. I believe Nigeria government should allow them to do there test by there certify doctors to allow traveller travelling on there airline from Nigeria . but Nigeria government want to be doing the test .and Dubai government don't want that , they want the test to be carried out by there certified doctors . this is what causing wahala between Nigeria government & Emirates airline .not that emirate just imposing ban
