Nigeria’s Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has stated reason the Federal Government will not destroy forests where bandits use as hideouts to carry kidnappings in the country.

The Minister while speaking on Channels Tv on how to eliminate bandits terrorising some parts of the country, said the ecosystem will be greatly affected if the government should destroy the forests.

Mohammed noted that the better solution to eliminating bandits from forests was to have better consultation between sub national government, security agencies and the Federal Government.
