Yes, the person you quoted is right.. Rotimi Amaechi was a staff at Peter Odili hospital. When Odili was contesting for governor in 1999, Amaechi was also contesting for his state constituency in Rivers State house of assembly.
Odili won the election and he made Amaechi speaker of parliament. Amaechi was so loyal to Odili, hence he stayed as speaker for 8years!!

He was also a SA to Dr.Odili when Odili was a deputy governor.
