The north will always want to claim that they have a more voting power than the south. They must have to do anything to keep that tally of kano = 2.7 million votes, katsina = 1.9 million votes... etc If there is no electronic voting system that will take care of underage voting, duplicate thumb printing etc, then we are not yet ready for a working Nigeria. |

Why can't we use it? Is it not time we knew who is voting just like we must know who we are voting for? Is it because it will make the process of voters registration and verification much easier than they desire it to be? We have known all this while that the real enemies of Nigeria are those in charge of our affairs. They want to disenfranchise some people while bringing in underage voters and strange persons who should not be voting in our land. Something that would be the sweetest thing to do right from voters registration to conclusions of elections. With registration, just ask people who want to vote to pick their new voters cards from NIMC, INEC, NCC, Ministry of Communication, Ministry of Interior, Immigrations, etc they all have our information. Telecom operators and banks can also come into it. Why are they reluctant to pool our information in one central data centre and use it to solve our myriad problems such as insecurity, electoral malpractices, vampire political leadership, etc. All they want is NIN for all phone line users so they can wage war against their critics. Enemies of peace, enemies of development, enemies of God! |
